On the day I made my perpetual profession as a lay Dominican. Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P. gave a talk in which he gave examples of the religious habit as a form of witness. He told the story of two sisters in full habit who deliberately walked into an "adult" book store. Pandemonium ensued as guys dove for cover and otherwise tried to evade the sudden attack of their guilty consciences.
