Sometimes when you join your local 40 Days for Life vigil, the results are instantaneous and dramatic. Sometimes nothing interesting seems to happen. In either case, the Lord calls us to keep praying and to trust that every prayer is answered...in God's time.
Longtime Shreveport, Louisiana 40 Days for Life leader Chris Davis recently learned of the 114th baby saved from abortion at his vigil. Or was it the first?

Nearly eight years ago, an abortion-bound woman named Amy met one of Chris' volunteers. By all appearances, Amy went through with the abortion anyway.
It wasn't until earlier this year that Amy went public, sharing how the prayers of "a little old man" helped spare the life of the little girl who is now the apple of Amy's eye.
