Be sure to click on the link that relays the conversation between two BlackLivesMatter activists, Deray McKesson (BLM leader) and Johnette Elzie, about creating the "summer of chaos" with the aim of instigating martial law. Especially note their discussion of Attorney General Loretta Lynch's involvement, who, according to McKesson, told him "they want us to start really pushing how racist Trump is now instead of waiting so the others can start getting the protesters ready to shut both conventions down.” The tweets talk about busing in SIX TO EIGHT THOUSAND PROTESTERS to disrupt the GOP convention. This is a Communists tactic and it's the way liberal politics works. In two weeks we are likely to see a large Soros-funded violent protest of Cleveland's Republican Convention. Pray and do penance. A Constitutional Convention Is NOT the Answer

One of the most politically savvy folks in the nation is Phyllis Schlafly. She was the impetus that helped deep-six the misguided and dangerous Equal Rights Amendment. When Phyllis says a Constitutional Convention is dangerous, I believe her.

New Threat of a Constitutional Convention

Do you really think conservatives will control a convention? Don't you think ordinary folks will be frozen out. If we can't win a national election or state governor seats or control a majority of state legislators do we really think we the people can control a Constitutional Convention? It will be a fiasco that destroys the last remaining shreds of our liberties by eliminating the document that protects them. Think about it. We can't even get our political leaders to stand by our constitution now. Why should we expect that they will protect it during a Constitutional Convention -- especially when they have a chance to get all their pet projects written into a new document.

Please take the action at the end of the article above asking your legislators to oppose a Constitutional Convention. There is nothing wrong with our current constitution except the failure of establishment wimps who only care about their own careers to protect it. Please fight the move to adopt an Article V Con-Con.

God help us if this move is successful! The community organizers and liberals backed by Soros-Buffet-Gates money will be hard to stop. NO CON-CON!

Hilary Rosen and the Dems War on Women

Some things never change. Feminist women have always had nothing but contempt for stay-at-home moms and Hilary Rosen's comment this week about Ann Romney "never working a day in her life" is just more of the same. The only work that matters, the only "real work" to people like Rosen, requires a paycheck. I remember a debate back in the seventies between Karen de Crow, President of NOW (National Organization for Women) and a pro-life woman who was, I believe, a lawyer. When the pro-life woman introduced herself as a wife and mother first, de Crow responded contemptuously, "You're a lawyer first and a slave second." Ah yes, raising children is slavery. Working for a political campaign or for NOW is an honored profession.

Having raised five children myself and being, for a short time, a full time working mom (as a GS-7 to GS-12) for the Navy and a part time working mom off and on to help balance the budget, I can say that raising my children was the hardest and most exhausting job of all - also the most rewarding. I could be replaced in five minutes at my D.C. office; I was irreplaceable at home. Why are teaching school, operating a day care center, being a chef or waitress, managing a budget, being a first aid worker, tutoring, driving a taxi or bus, doing consumer research, etc. all honorable professions, but  doing all those things in your own home is "never working a day" in your life? Get a life, Hilary!

Oh, I forgot, she has one -- being a Democrat strategist, a lesbian activist, and a critic of stay-at-home moms who have "never worked a day" in their lives! If you want to know more about pundit Hilary Rosen go here.

And if you want to see who is really engaged in a war on women, the ones most impacted by the economic downturn, go here. This is personal for me. One of my nieces who is married to a school teacher and has four children, lost her job about a year ago in the economic downturn and then they lost their house! Try telling them how the "hope and change" worked for their family.

Gamaliel's "Useful Theology"

I blogged yesterday about faith-based community organizers with a focus on Gamaliel Foundation's funding from George Soros. Today Stephanie Block had an article about Gamaliel posted at Spero Forum. Those who think they are supporting Christian principles when they contribute to a group like Gamaliel need to think again. These "progressive" organizations spin their agenda in "faith-based" language, but their principles are more in line with "liberation" theology than Christian theology.

Stephanie's article examines Gamaliel's immigration position which is basically to spin Biblical language about welcoming the stranger to justify the Democrats' positions of amnesty and open borders. They ignore the primary duty of government to promote the common good of its citizens. As Stephanie sums up, "Propaganda written to sound 'theological' isn’t real theology."

Archdiocese of Chicago Retracts CCHD Grants to Pro-Life Groups

Among the pro-life groups affected by the indian-giving is the Pro-Life Action League, Joe Scheidler's group. There was hope of reform in Chicago, but that has proven an empty promise. The greatest cause of poverty is the breakdown of the family. To claim that pro-life groups are not "anti-poverty" (most of their clients are poor) is ridiculous! But hey, we can't take one cent away from the liberal groups that helped to elect Obama and support liberalism.

One more reason to nix CCHD. Their idea of fighting poverty is to give in-state tuition to illegal aliens like one of our local CCHD-funded groups, VOICE.

President Obama continually calls for more civil discourse pointing the finger at conservatives as the guilty ones. But he ought to look at his hand and see where all the other fingers are pointing. Incivility is a staple of the liberal establishment, including their disparaging and offensive description of the tea party movement as "tea baggers," a sexual term for a form of fellatio.

Obama's PR guru, Robert Gibbs, was recently asked during a press briefing whether the president used the term to describe the conservative movement that he has continually attacked for their influence in the Republican Party. Gibbs said he didn't know but would check. It would not be surprising if he did. The president talks out of both sides of his mouth. And here's an example via columnist James Fitzpatrick who in an article titled Purveyors of Vitriol gave a number of illustrations including the following:

One last example: the lesbian comedian Wanda Sykes. At last spring's White House Correspondents' Dinner, she joked, "Rush Limbaugh, I hope his kidneys fail. He needs a good waterboarding, that's what he needs." The London Telegraph's U.S. editor, Toby Harnden, was at the dinner. He wrote, "President Obama seemed to think this bit was pretty hilarious, grinning and chuckling and turning to share the joke with the person sitting on his right. There's not much room for differing interpretations of what Sykes said. She called LImbaugh a terrorist and a traitor, suggested that he be tortured and wished him dead. What was his crime? Hoping that Obama's policies -- which he views as socialist -- will fail. That's way, way beyond reasoned debate or comedy and Obama's reaction to it was astonishing.... Obama laughing when someone wishes Limbaugh dead? Hard to take from the man who promised a new era of cvility and elevated debate in Washington."

Ah, but "civility" and "elevated debate" are relative terms and the left defines them according to their own skewed sense of righteousness. Obama and company are the good and holy so everything they do is just, right, and blessed by the gods. Anyone who criticizes them is, by definition, uncivil. They, on the other hand, are never uncivil by definition. They are just telling the truth and stating the facts about those evil, right wing, homophobic, misogynistic fanatics who are attached to their guns and religion. The same leftists who called police pigs and military vets baby-killers during the Viet Nam war are now claiming to be the arbiters of elevated debate.

It's a laughable construct, of course, and just goes to prove, once again, that the three ring circus in Washington is filled with clowns, starting with the clown-in-chief.

With the liberal left working to turn the entire country into one huge entitlement program, Detroit's blight may be coming to a city near you.

I visited my actress sister when she was doing a show in Detroit back in the 1986 and the city was collapsing then. She was renting a room in a huge old mansion (that could have been the set for a haunted house) in a section of town that had gone from super-wealthy to crumbling and crime-ridden. The owner talked about how she chased the hookers away from the front of her property.

Yup, thanks to all the liberal programs, like the Model Cities Program, taxpayer money has been poured into failed liberal policies guaranteed to destroy prosperity. But don't worry, if you don't live in Detroit and are missing out on all the goodies. This vision for America is probably coming to your town soon - if Obama/Pelosi/Reid have anything to say about it.

By the way, some of the comments debunking this video take issue with the black bear sightings in the Detroit area, but it's true and easily checked. A local TV news program ran a show on it in August 2008.

The Climate Summit Boondoggle in Copenhagen is having a negative impact on the global carbon footprint. The Wall Street Journal reported the following:

Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen's biggest limousine company told the London Telegraph on Dec. 5th that she reckoned that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen for the global warming conference has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up last Thursday and ordered another 42. "We haven't got enough limos in the country to fulfill the demand,' she says. 'We're having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden."

And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among all those limos? "Five," said Ms. Jorgensen.

They should have held their sessions via GoToMeeting.com. Think of all the carbon emisssions poor Mother Earth would have been spared, not to mention the city of Copenhagen. All those political gasbags emitting CO2, not to mention methane, is more than one city should have to bear.

Obama's Safe Schools Czar isn't Safe for Children
