Hero Edward Snowden Warns: Government is Spying on Americans!

spy facility to store data illegally collected on Americans
In a video posted by The Independent (UK), Snowden makes it clear that technicians under the administration's order had access to anybody's records from phone companies and social media like Facebook and Google. Think about what happened with the IRS targeting the administration's "enemies" for IRS audits because of their politics. Now these "enemies" also can be targeted for surveillance of their phone and social communication accounts fishing for information to persecute political opponents.

Edward Snowden pointed out that:

"I had authority to wiretap anyone, from you or your accountant to a federal judge or even the President, if I had a personal email....You don't have to have done anything wrong. You simply have to eventually fall under suspicion from somebody, even by a wrong call, and then they can use the system to go back in time and scrutinize every decision you've ever made, every friend you've ever discussed something with, and attack you on that basis to sort of derive suspicion from an innocent life and paint anyone in the context of a wrongdoer."
Edward Snowden is a hero. Like the patriots who spoke out against the abuse of the colonies by King George, he is drawing a line in the sand. And as I've researched this issue, I'm finding other patriots who have also risked persecution to expose the systematic surveillance of ordinary Americans like you and me. Remember when pro-lifers were declared "domestic terrorists?" That's me! Are you a tea party patriot? You may be on the list too! Are you a vet? A Catholic? You may be on the list too.

Does anyone really believe politicians won't use this information to persecute their enemies? Obama's administration has already shown they will use the power of government to target their political opponents through the IRS. PRISM gives them exponential power to spy on and go after their enemies! And while you hear the government using the word "traitor" for Edward Snowden, remember our founding fathers. George Washington was a traitor too as were all those who pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor when they signed the Declaration of Independence. This data collection is the equivalent of illegal and unconstitutional wire-tapping on the broadest scale possible. There is nothing traitorous about exposing it. The only question is - Will most people care?
