What Was In Benedict's Internal Forum, Stays In His Internal Forum

What was in Benedict's internal forum, stays in his internal forum.

Various people projecting their own fantasies as to why Benedict did what he did sicken me.

I loved Benedict as a father like we're supposed to do of a pope. Who knows why he did what he did. Did God tell him to do it? I'm sure both he and JPII actually believed in God and had some form of guidance from Christ and His Mother and listened to them.

Was Benedict threatened with his brother being kidnapped, tortured and killed in a gruesome manner? Was that a viable threat which was the final straw forcing him to make his decision?

Who knows, but when I'm pope of the Church and the wolves threaten me I'll let you know why I either stay, abdicate, or hide in the basement. However, since that'll never happen, we remain hostages to Benedict's internal forum which we'll never be able to invade because his reasons for doing what he did are known only to God and frankly none of my business. What is my business is to accept reality and fight for the Church with whatever strength I have left which isn't much these days after 4+ months of covid.

I'm old and don't care much anymore about things that used to bother me. I cannot go to the NO at my former parish. The new music director, while having a lovely voice, plays the piano far too loudly while singing at the forte (as in fortissimo) dynamic level. I prefer the peace of the Old Mass at the SSPX.

So call me a schismatic excommunicated Catholic. I don't care anymore. Besides, the SSPX isn't schismatic, nor excommunicated. Francis can declare me excommunicated any day now after he buries Benedict. I don't care at. all. any. more. God will judge my soul. Not Francis.

  1. If you don't accept Francis by 8:00 tonight then you're just a dirty Prot. Habemus Papam!

  2. I presume this is tongue-in-cheek, Frankolite. If it's not let me know and I'll delete it as an ad hominem.

  3. The SSPX specifically accepts Francis as Pope. They also accept all the other popes as pope. Therein lies the difference. The popes since Pius XII do not accept their predecessors. As Benedict said, Vatican II is an anti-syllabus (i.e. contradicts the Syllabus of Errors of Pope Pius IX). I would go further and suggest it directly contradicts many of the Cannons of the Council of Trent. So, the SSPX follows every teaching of the reigning pontiff which does not contradict the body of faith passed on by their predecessors, e.g. Humane Vitae of Paul VI and Ordinatio Sacerdotalis of John Paul II. Every SSPX chapel has a picture of Frances and prays for him in the Cannon. So, the SSPX clings to the Roman Pontiff in every aspect wherein he clings to the tradition passed on to him

    1. My SSPX chapel doesn’t have a picture of Bergolio.

  4. Our current Grand Night (KOC) has a Benedict conversion story.
The Grand Knight (this may have been about 8 to 10 years ago) was a Protestant filled with anti-Catholic lies (although his wife is a devout Catholic, albeit Novus Order). He was also a very good police officer (you didn't want this guy to take you down).
After a series of work-place accidents he almost died and needed titanium rods to be put in his back.
In recovery he says he had a series of visions of Benedict, but the key one was that he (our current Grand Knight) was in Rome in a room of very tall men when a shorter German (he recognized him to be Benedict) approached him, put his (Benedict) hand on his shoulder, and told him (our GK) that it's time to come home to the Church.
True story, I've heard his testament a couple times now.

  5. "US"
I would clarify that the SSPX's vision is clouded and "thinks" Francis is Pope. I attend the SSPX here and his name is said at the Canon. Frankly I have not been to ANY mass (NO or Latin) that convokes Benedict as Pope (who has?).

I'm with A.Barnhardt. We are Sede Vacantist as of this past Saturday.

  6. When Ex Pope Ratzinger celebrated Mass he only named Francis in the canon

  7. I didn't say that Francis wasn't pope. I merely said I don't give a flip what he does. Not only that, there's no picture of him in my house. None. Niente. Nada. Zip. Zero.
