Headlines and Article blurbs about the Sex Abuse Summit

Where is Cardinal O'Malley?  Phil Lawler weighs in the Vatican Meeting Programmed for Failure.
Conspicuously missing from the program is any major address by Cardinal Sean O’Malley, the chairman of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors. It was shocking that Cardinal O’Malley was not included in the preparatory commission for the event; it is still more astonishing that he is not listed among the featured speakers.
Cardinals Burke, Brandmüller challenge bishops to speak out, defend faith
Cardinals Burke and Brandmüller insist that Church leaders must address not only the protection of young people from abuse, but a “much greater crisis” in the Church. They point to homosexual influence that “has been spread within the Church, promoted by organized networks and protected by a climate of complicity and a conspiracy of silence.”
Pope's 21 "Reflection Points" on the crisis say not one word about homosexuality!
Several of the suggestions are on the theme of seminary formation of priests and the proper penalties for priests or religious who commit abuse. [but completely ignore the necessity to screen out homosexuals from the priesthood #16, #17, #18]
Stay tuned.....

  1. Seriously? We are supposed to defer to the opinions of the professionals in the pseudo field of psychology in determining who is or is not fit for the priesthood?

Puleez!! These people might weed out mass murderers but can we count on them to recognize what is vital? Things like masculinity, virtue, tenacity and perseverance. The most important of these being real MASCULINITY.

  2. To add to that Chriss absolutely what we look for them to do.Uphold and to teach the Word of God.

"And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."
" You shall not lie with r a male as with a woman. It is an abomination."
I was appalled when I read AB Scicluna's statement that he thought it was fine for civil unions of marriage for same sex couples because it upheld the dignity of the human being. How does and abomination before God uphold human dignity ?
Is he a politician or an Arch Bishop of the Catholic Church ?

  3. Unfortunately the sods console themselves with the verse from ezekiel which suggests the sin of sodom was unhospitality.

  4. I believe it is not hospital to commit a rape.
Yet there are those usually referred to as perverts who consider lust to be love.
Leviticus states clearly that a man who lays with a man and a woman with a woman is an ABOMINATION before God....Hmmmm? The abomination of desolation?
