There is something that did not go unnoticed by those out here witnessing to the dignity of human life the past couple of months.  As we stood on the sidewalks, or knelt in prayer as participants in civil disobedience, we heard the laughter and playful screams of the children of Two Rivers School as they were out for recess . . . This is, of course, in contrast the silent screams and unspeakable horror that is planned for right next door. 

It has also been noted that the address of this coming killing center is 1225 – 4th Street.  Yes, the date we celebrate the Birth of Our Blessed Lord.  December 25^th.  May He have mercy on us.

From Abortion to Euthanasia: Pushing the Unwanted Over the Cliff

   In 1973, prior to Roe v. Wade, only 17 states allowed abortion (except for life of the mother) and one, New York, had voted to repeal its law.[i] Only a veto by Nelson Rockefeller allowed the killing to continue in the Empire State.[ii] On January 22, 1973, however, all of that changed. Seven men on the Supreme Court imposed abortion-on-demand for the entire country, in effect, legislating under what conditions the states could “limit” the act. The companion ruling Doe v. Bolton, answered that question defining “health” so broadly that no abortion up to birth could be refused if a doctor were willing to do it.[iii] And, in fact, over the years it became obvious that many abortionists, like George Tiller, Kermit Gosnell, and Leroy Carhart would kill babies even days before birth inventing the particularly gruesome Partial Birth Abortion (PBA) method to ensure that potentially viable infants could be murdered in the birth canal by stabbing them in the upper neck and sucking out their brains avoiding the “complication” of a live birth. PBA not only ensured delivery of a dead baby, but provided an “intact specimen” for fetal wholesalers like Opening Lines which began trafficking in baby body parts in 1989.[iv]

It Begins: Synod on the Family Opens in Rome

Today is a big day. First of all, my husband and I celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. What an adventure rearing five children in a world of confusion (in the "spirit" of Vatican II and the dissent over Humanae Vitae)  and a growing culture of death. When Roe v. Wade came down in 1973, we had two little ones and I hugged them tighter as I mourned the untimely deaths of their spiritual brothers and sisters murdered silently amidst the cheers of the raging feminists. And then, with the support of my husband, I put on the armor of God and began fighting against abortion for the sake of our family and all the little endangered ones. The faithful Catholic family is the greatest bulwark against the relentless culture of death.

Ostensibly, the Synod is supposed to strengthen, renew, sanctify, and increase the number of faithful Catholic families. That, at least, should be its goal. But we all know from last year's Extraordinary Synod and machinations of the "progressive bishops" that many do not share that vision. Rather than build up the nuclear family, they want to transform the definition of "faithful Catholic family" to include adulterous unions and same-sex partnerships.

Was it an accident that the Synod opens on the day we hear readings from Genesis and St. Mark that affirm the family? Certainly not in God's providence. Genesis reminds us that "a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one flesh." One man and one woman -- not a series of men or women like musical chairs and not two men or two women playing house together. It is the sacred union of Adam and Eve that God blesses when he gives them dominion over all creation, tells them to multiply and fill the earth, and looks at all he has made and finds it "very good."

Davis and Grassi: Spinning the News at the Vatican Press Office

Hilary White has a terrific article about the pope's meeting with Kim Davis, the evil clerk who refuses marriage licenses to a same-sex couples, and the pope's homosexual former student and friend, Yayo Grassi. Read it. If nothing else, it reveals the absolute nonsense at the Vatican press office. We think that helps explain the statement that the "smoke of Satan" has entered the Church. Obviously, from the junk coming out of the press office, they are smoking something!

I'm more inclined to believe Matt Staver, Kim Davis' lawyer, than the Vatican spokesmen who regularly show they are typical media types willing to spin the news. So they imply Davis was just part of a group -- Hey the pope couldn't possibly know what he was doing. But Matt Staver says Kim and her husband were the only ones in the room with the pope besides security and Vatican personnel. Sure sounds like a private audience to me!

But hey, we can't upset the homosexual activists -- especially before the synod when all the homosexual friendly bishops hope to give the impression that sodomy is a gift to the Church and homosexual relationships are pretty much the same as marriage.

Good grief and God help us!

Will the Ordinary Synod be Manipulated Like the Extraordinary Synod?

I'm reading Edward Pentin's book about Rigging the Synod. Wow! If you want a lesson in Church politics read the book. Thank God we know the Holy Spirit protects the Church, because the number of Judases among the hierarchy appears to be legion. The Synod will never change the doctrine, but the wicked bishops can make it APPEAR that doctrine has changed and that's all they care about. Why do so many Catholic reject Church teaching on contraception? Because of the lies and manipulation after Humanae Vitae. How many people have suffered serious problems as a result. You cannot lie with your body telling your spouse you give everything when you hold back your greatest gift, the capacity to give life. How the demons laugh when people buy the lie.

The progressives don't care about substance, only form. If the Church keeps the substance of the doctrine of marital indissolubility that's fine, as long as sheep in the pew get the idea that the "pastoral" approach allows them to make their own decisions about whether they can receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord while they continue to live in sin. Poor Jesus. So many Catholics today approach Communion unworthily and commit the grave sin of sacrilege. Many are led into this sin by false shepherds who tickle their ears. God help them on Judgment Day.

I hope you are praying the novena to Our Lady of Victory for the Synod. Today is day three. Let's ask St. Therese on her feast day to join us in praying for the family.

Who Says Homosexual Activity is Wrong? Saints and Doctors of the Church

We often hear homosexual activists argue that there's nothing in the Bible that condemns homosexuality. Of course, they need to twist crystal clear passages from both the Old and New Testaments to claim they refer to a lack of hospitality rather than same-sex lust. 

But Scripture isn't the only source of Church condemnation of same-sex behavior. Catholic tradition is filled with it. The quotes below come from the Church Fathers, saints, etc. They are quoted in a book called Defending A Higher Law: Why We Must Resist Same-Sex “Marriage” and the Homosexual Movement.
