Will you get the swine flu shot?

The hysteria level in the media over swine flu is rising and the best defense against panic is common sense, a deep breath, and a little research. Whether you get the shot is up to you.   1. Thanks for the linkys. My youngest (sixth grade) came home with a "choice" form . . . he can have the nasal spray or shot form, OR neither. WE opt out. I never thought these things worked. My daughter had the flu shot and ended up getting the flu . . . I don't believe in them. I believe when you get sick, rest and fluids, OTC when you need it for pain/fever. ER if it gets bad.

  2. Vitamin D boosts the immune system. Lots of sun and a supplement can help ward off the flu. Ask your pediatrician about it.

  4. Thank you for the kind comment. I live in Virginia which has plenty of sunshine in the summer, but we have to go visit our Texas kids in the winter when it's bleak. But I'm thankful we don't live in Minnesota.
