Did George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin both Fear for their Lives?

A high definition video of Zimmerman on the night he shot Trayvon Martin offers evidence that supports his version of the story. The video clearly shows a large wound on the back of his head consistent with hi head being slammed against the pavement. If Martin was also trying to disarm him, he surely could have feared for his life.

On the other hand, if Martin was struggling with Zimmerman to get his gun, he probably feared for his life as well and it appears it may have been his voice on the 911 call screaming for help. Two voice experts have said the voice isn't Zimmerman's.

No matter how you look at this case, it's a tragic mess. Pray for everybody involved and for a cooling off of the racist rhetoric. One of Zimmerman's neighbors said she often saw Latinos and blacks at their home and there was no evidence of racism in the family.

  1. Hard to say what happened, but from accounts Trayvon Martin initiated the physical attack. The initial impression given by the press was that Zimmerman was physically superior but that account seems to have been mistaken. There are all sorts of half-baked stories floating around.

Everyone should stop rushing to judgment based on a prejudicial phony racism subnarrative that has no warrant except that the two were of different races.

It is unclear that race had anything to do with the incident except in the fevered imagination of race baiters everywhere and the professional racists who drum up race as a reason for everything.

Zimmerman would have been well advised to keep his distance and Martin would be alive today if he hadn't reacted and just gone on about his business.

  2. Obama started the class war.

    Now it is race war.

    Next up, healthcare war.

This is the President's election strategy.

We're all paying attention to the details. We need to see the big picture...a President who sees advantage in a dangerous, ugly, raging America.
