Random Thoughts on Tuesday Morning

  • Another Tuesday on lockdown....When will it end? The animals at the farm down the road are more free today than many Americans.
  • I'm glad I cut my own hair. I've been doing it for years after I got tired of paying big bucks for bad haircuts and coming home and fixing it. I can give myself a bad haircut for free. There are benefits. The beauty parlor is always open at my convenience! And what a great price!
  • My husband is joking that he'll soon be wearing his hair in a ponytail. Obviously he doesn't like my haircuts because he doesn't trust me around him with a scissors. Oh well...he promised "for better or worse," but not for haircuts.
  • Most mornings there are five of us in church at 8:30 a.m. A stone's throw away in the old church Father is saying a private Mass and videotaping it. What's wrong with these pictures? Can't we transpose them, one on the other?
  • Just wonderin'....Did Trump make that statement about having the authority to overrule the governors to get the liberal left to read the Constitution? Someone suggested that in a comment box. It hadn't occurred to me, but Trump is pretty shrewd. Maybe he wanted to show all the state tyrants that two can play that game. It certainly got everyone to talk about constitutional limits of power -- and not just the president's.
  • When things go back to "normal" will there be widespread antibody testing to see who's had the virus. Will those of us who haven't be required to go around ringing a bell and calling out, "Unsafe, unsafe?"
  • Many hospitals are in dire straights because of the cancellation of all services considered elective (except killing children of course). How many hospitals will collapse and close? And how many people will die because of the loss of local health care and delays in getting treatment? It's no joke...but to the elites it may be cause for celebration, because it likely will mostly affect those "deplorables" in rural America. More here.
  • Why are you reading these random thoughts. Go do something useful...like...  floss your teeth or wash your hair (or cut it). Better yet... read the Constitution. Best of all...pray the rosary!
Have a great day praising God and thanking Him for all the good He promises to bring out of every bad situation! COVID 19 can only defeat those who have no faith. Have you prayed today? Here's one to say throughout the day. O Lord, I surrender myself to You. Take care of everything!

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

  1. The devil, being a liar and the father of lies, inspires insanity. It is not just that he deceives people. It is that, to the extent people leave the safe haven of belief in Jesus Christ and discipleship, they fall under the influence of Christ’s eternal enemy, Satan ... the Liar. And that means insanity (loss of reason, embrace of un-reason), to the extent they follow Satan’s will, to the extent of their “embrace” of his “logic”.

I see such insanity these days, decisions and actions that are simply crazy. Not just evil, insane. Why would anyone choose such destructive choices for self and for those they are responsible for - family, government, Church.

Insanity (moral and intellectual, not the physical broken form) is a marker of someone who has lost all remnants of connection to the Grace of God and has given themselves over, knowingly or unknowingly, to Satan and all his pomps
