"The West is Crumbling...." Enlist in the Battle for Souls!

Revelation 12: The battle between the Woman clothed with the sun with twelve stars for her crown and the dragon
Msgr. Charles Pope is a prophetic voice for our times. I was reading his article on the Book of Revelation this morning and came to this statement:
The West is crumbling and decadence abounds. Confusion about basic reality is so widespread that our current cultural situation can credibly be described as a lunatic asylum. Even within the Church, voices that should speak out prophetically are silenced by fear and infected by worldliness. There is among Church leaders, clergy, and laity a widespread softness and a feeling that the risk of speaking out is too great.
What rational, faithful Catholic can argue with this? And yet his message is not one of "despair and die" but rather one of hope. Understand the signs of the times and fight the good fight:

The message is clear: be strong, be prepared, and be willing to suffer, realizing that no matter how powerful and glamorous evil may seem, Jesus is the victor. We must persevere and realize that we are swept up into a cosmic battle that is much larger than our current situation, but which reaches us nonetheless. We must choose sides. Don’t think that you can sit on the fence. Satan owns the fence and he is coming for you and will say, “You belong to me.”...
A crucial battle comes in Revelation 12, when the red dragon with seven heads and ten horns besets Mother Mary, who is also an image of the Church. But note this: the devil cannot prevail in the war that breaks out in Heaven. He is hurled to the earth, where he unsuccessfully pursues the woman (who is Mary and the Church). He is a big loser, and in a rage he continues to pursue us.
And it's true, Msgr. Pope says, that Satan loses, but he can still deceive foolish, gullible people with his worldly promises, "pomp and lies." The undeceived must join the fight for souls and snatch all we can from the jaws of spiritual destruction.

I read another article this morning that seems to me to confirm what Msgr. Pope is saying, Patrick Archbold's post at the Remnant, Apocalypse Now? Another Great Sign Rises in the Heavens. Archbold also addresses the Book of Revelation with respect to astronomical movements that are coming which correspond well to the messages of Fatima. He also mentions Revelation 12 and the great battle:
On November 20, 2016, an astronomical event begins that will last nine and a half months, culminating in startling concurrence with the vision of Revelation 12. While I am not an astronomer, all my research indicates that this astronomical event, in all its particulars, is unique in the history of man.
On November 20, 2016, Jupiter (the King planet) enters into the body (womb) of the constellation Virgo (the virgin). Jupiter, due its retrograde motion, will spend the next 9 ½ months within the womb of Virgo. This length of time corresponds with gestation period of a normal late-term baby.
After 9 ½ months, Jupiter exits out of the womb of Virgo. Upon Jupiter’s exit (birth), on September 23, 2017, we see the constellation Virgo with the sun rise directly behind it (the woman clothed with the sun). At the feet of Virgo, we find the moon. And upon her head we find a crown of twelve stars, formed by the usual nine stars of the constellation Leo with the addition of the planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars.
That is a truly remarkable and, as far as I can determine, unique series of event with a startling degree of concurrence with the vision of Revelation 12.
Wow! Don't let anyone tell you God is not trying to get our attention with signs and wonders. "The heavens declare the glory of God." (Psalm 19) Msgr. Pope and Pat Archbold are both offering a message of hope. Don't be afraid, preach the Gospel with courage and love. And remember that God always wins. Ah, but there's a catch -- we must choose sides. We will fight and win under the standard of Christ or we will be defeated and fall under the standard of Satan. Which will we choose?

Coming across these two article today, that share so well the vision of Revelation 12, particularly in the midst of the novena to the Holy Spirit, filled me with hope and consolation. We are not alone. God is in our midst. His Mother is our battlefield general, "she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array." Let us happily join her legion using the great weapon of the rosary to crush the dragon and thrust him back to hell where he belongs!
