You might be a cannibal!

You know the old redneck joke. "If you have an old toilet in your front yard filled with flowers, you might be a redneck."

Well, I have a new line, but it's no joking matter!

If you drink Pepsi, you might be a cannibal.

If you drink Lipton tea, you might be a cannibal. (I had Lipton decaf tea on my Costco list, but it's off!)

If you drink Gatorade or Tropicana Juices or drink Aquafina water, you might be a cannibal.

If you eat Sour Patch kids (I'll miss these.), you might be a cannibal.

Why?

Because they all use "flavoring" develooped using an aborted baby cell line.

No big deal, eh? After all, the Third Reich experimented with making lamp shades, saddles, and other "useful" items out of the skin of their victims. So what's a little drink flavoring made from aborted babies? Besides, that was only the initial development and we're generations beyond it. So what if it all grew from a long-ago child murder? Well, it matters to me. How many generations were never allowed to see the light of day because of that initial long-ago killing?

This makes me speculate about all the awful things being done to our food supply: GMOs, pesticides, antibiotics and drugs fed to beef cattle, chickens, pigs, etc. What is that doing to all the things we consume? What's in our milk, meat, fish, vegetables, etc.? Does anyone really know these days?

And what is the impact of contaminated food on our health? And on the environment? Good questions, eh? Wish I knew the answers. We certainly need more research by real scientists, not the foxes in the factories at Monsanto and other pesticide producers who claim their millions of dollars income-producing products are safe-safe-safe. It's time to stop the love affair with weed-free lawns and the chemicals that produce the while they run-off into our lakes and streams contaminating the fish supply and our drinking water.

As for companies that develop "flavorings,"from aborted baby stem lines -- How would their CEOs like to end up in the stew pot in Fried Green Tomatoes? I've blogged about this several times before, but it bears repeating. Abortion has done many evil things to our culture. It's good to remember it and make decisions accordingly.

  1. What amazes me is that in spite of all these unnatural food chain innovations (the GMO's, pesticides, antibiotics, etc), our life expectancy continues to climb. Thirty years ago it was very rare to hear of people living to over 100 years, but now it's practically commonplace. One would think that, if this unnaturally tampered-with food was all that bad, people would not live so long. But they do, and in greater numbers than ever before....with the exception of Biblical times.

  2. Thanks for your comment, Susan. It piqued my interest in the subject. My dad only lived to be 67. My mom died at 83. My dad's parents died in their late 70s. My mom's parents were in their 80s but she was adopted so there was no genetic connection.

It would be interesting to see a study on the lifestyles of those who live exceptionally long lives, although those who reach 100 are still very rare. A graph projecting lifespan done in 1999 projected 74,000 in 2000. The actual number was about 54,000. That's not a very big number in a population of about 315 million. Here's the projection, but the article says it's probably too optimistic.

  3. On Sunday my niece and nephew came for dinner.
my 65 yr old nephew's mother is 92 and still lives on her own and drives to and from the grocery store.
They had recently visited with another nephew and his family up north . His mother in law is 104.
They said during a recent visit with the Dr he was advising her on her diet.
She did not answer him when he asked her if she understood what he said ,so he spoke a little louder. She looked him in the eye and told him she heard him the first time asking, "Why are YOU telling me what to eat and not eat? I have been eating for one hundred and four years and I think I now know how to eat."
