The planet is a self-regulating system that God made to take care of itself. Of course, we are called to be good stewards of what God has so generously provided, but the politicization of climate is destructive. It especially hurts the poor in the Third World exploited by greedy governments and population controllers. They need development and energy to obtain clean water and fuel for cooking, farming and building. Using a faux climate disaster to terrify and control people is immoral.
Expose the lies and fight for the truth. And remember. We've had Chicken Littles screaming "The Sky is Falling" for generations. Sometimes it's the prediction of mass starvation because of population growth. Sometimes it's we'll all freeze to death in a new ice age or every resource on the planet will be depleted by such and such a date. Or the honeybees will all die and we won't have any more pollination (This come back to stewardship.)
It goes on and on and on.
You can see a list of dire predictions that...well...didn't turn out to be so dire...by going here. But really, folks, as economist Walter Williams points out quoting biologist Stephen Schneider, they are using climate hysteria to advance and agenda:
"We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have,” Stephen Schneider, a professor of Biology at Stanford University, said to Discover magazine in 1989. “Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.”
Williams also cites Sen. Timothy Wirth, a Democrat from Colorado, who said in 1988: "We've got to ... try to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong ... we will be doing the right thing anyway in terms of economic policy and environmental policy." (Source)Yup...lying is okay as long as it moves the political agenda ahead!
here's one more video from the Friends of Science who are friends of the truth unlike the Al Gores and Paul Ehrlichs of the world.
