Anti-Pope. That's my final decision.

Please tell me this idol isn't the Virgin Mary.
After waffling back and forth, and not really caring too much, to tell the truth - because I knew that if Francis was truly the pope, he was evil anyway - I am finally weighing in on the controversy. Is he, or is he not the true pope? Was he validly elected by misguided Cardinals (because the Holy Spirit does not elect the pope - men elect the pope (albeit men/Cardinals corrupted by the spirit of the world, therefore listening to that spirit and not the Holy Spirit) or was he invalidly elected because of the collaboration of the St Gallen Group - the St Gallen Mafia, as they have become to be known? By the way, St Gallen, Switzerland, was the #1 vacation destination of Mr Theodore McCarrick. He went there almost every year. Just thought I'd mention that fact for its obvious implications.

Various bloggers and internet personalities have argued back and forth on this one question for months, if not for the past 6 years since Francis announced on The Balcony that he was...well, just plain old "Francis". The longer he is pope, the more vigorous are the arguments because, as the years have gone by, Francis has caused more than alarming discontent among the Catholic Faithful.

When people asked the question - "Is he, or is he not?" - I answered to what I thought was truly the case. That he was. Then I would have to remind them, some people at least, that the Holy Spirit does not elect the pope, therefore Francis was not the choice the Holy Spirit had in mind, that the Leftist Marxist Cardinals could care less what the Holy Spirit said, that is, if they even believed in Him at all.

If everything is so indigenous, why is the
woman wearing a Western style dress,
and the man wearing blue jeans?
That would be the end of the discussion because I had already lost one friend over this controversy and wasn't interested in more heated arguments. And even that one discussion wasn't over "pope or anti-pope". That discussion was over whether or not the Holy Spirit elects the pope. Let me reiterate. He. Does. Not. The Cardinals have free will (or else they/we would be robots) to accept or reject the promptings of the Holy Spirit in the selection of a pope. The counsel of the Holy Spirit is a special gift that assists the mind and perfects the virtue of prudence by enlightening a person on how to decide or make judgments in a particular case. The greater the sanctity of the individual, the more claim he has on this divine consultation and guidance. Unholy persons very imperfectly understand, and may elect not to receive this divine guidance.

As a
result, more than a few popes have been elected by Cardinals who have been sinful men and poorly equipped to lead the church in full accordance with God's desires. Note the Book of Revelation foretells the election of terrible popes just before the end times. Not all popes are necessarily saints in heaven, and such sinful men could never have been selected by the Holy Spirit.

But I digress. Just two days ago I changed my stance and am now weighing in on the "Invalidly Elected, Therefore Anti-Pope" theory since it has the most evidence, although scholarly evidence is not what convinced me. Cardinal Kasper and the Prophecies of St Malachy did.

1. The thing that put me over the edge was leftist Marxist German Cardinal Kasper's statement that "the next conclave will elect a pope like Francis" based on the pope's stacking of the college of cardinals. He said, "I don't believe a contrary pope could be elected at the next conclave. People would not accept that. I don't believe people would be pleased if the next conclave elected a pope of opposite mind."

Note that both idols are female.
LGBT agenda even in the Amazon?
thought - "Oh no. An entire string of leftist popes. Just what the devil ordered!" then thought of the dismal outcome for generations of future Catholics with decades of complete anarchy from the Church that Christ founded. Anarchy that will cause confusion (Truth is never confusing) and schism.

2. That same day as I was perusing the Internet I came across an article quoting Dr Thomas Groome, that aging Leftist dissident, saying that the Prophecies of Malachy are nonsense, "a grand old fun tale that have about as much reliability as the morning horoscope."

"That's it!" I thought. "The prophecies must be true." They must be true because an authentic Catholic would never believe anything Thomas Groome says. Ever. If he says one thing, the opposite is true. Always.

After Benedict XVI, the Prophecies of Malachy state, "In the final persecution of the holy Roman Church there will sit..."

In the Lignum Vitae, the line "In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit", [S.R.E. is Latin for Sacra Romana Ecclesia, the Holy Roman (Catholic) Church] forms a separate sentence and paragraph of its own. While often read as part of the "Peter the Roman" prophecy, other interpreters view it as a separate and incomplete sentence explicitly referring to additional popes between Glory of the Olive (Pope Benedict XVI) and Peter the Roman, (the last pope).

At first I concluded that St Malachy prophesied true popes only, however after looking at his prophecies, I see where he does include several anti-popes (Historically there have been over 40 anti-popes, so why can't we have another one today?) from the past. For instance, in 1410-1415 there was an anti-pope named John XXIII while the true pope John XXIII reigned in 1958-1963.

Francis is definitely not Peter the Roman "who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations (Francis is MAKING many tribulations), and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills (Rome) will be destroyed, and the dreadful judges will judge his people. The end."

Francis' Tree of Life with fake parrots
It makes sense that St Malachy saw that there would be one, or several - as Cardinal Kasper predicts (and he should know) - anti-popes between Pope Benedict XVI and Peter the Roman, and chose, for whatever reason, not to include them. Perhaps the horror of it all was too great to bear.

Catholics bowing down on the ground in a circle to a pregnant fertility goddess (apparently the child has not yet been aborted) is straight out of the 1966 Jesuit playbook. It shows that Francis, by looking on, smiling and approving of this pagan ritual, is an anti-pope more than anything else he has done.

Also, the indigenous soil brought from the Amazon in order to plant The Tree of Life with the fake parrots on it might not be right for the climate in Italy. It's indigenous to the Amazon, not Europe! How did that dirt get past international inspection? Was it brought through on the Pope's airplane, therefore never inspected? What if it has insects that multiply and make the rest of the Vatican Gardens as disease ridden as Francis' theology? I hope that tree dies.

Sad times for sure. They were obviously worshipping the earth in that circle around the blanket-globe which made me think of a coven of witches — or witch doctors. What a mess!

I hope that tree does, too. The dirt should have failed customs at Rome airport, which is outside Vatican City. And you can never know without an agricultural inspection whether the plant is carrying a bug or a disease foreign to Europe that could start trouble.

I took your advice, Susan, and I am reading The Jesuits. It's scary as hell. Initially I thought it was one of Martin's novels. Glad to discover it is not.

There cannot be an anti pope unless two or more men are laying claim to the papacy. At this time, only Pope Francis is recognized as the pope. If you do not accept Pope Francis, you are saying there is no pope at this time, that the Chair of Peter is empty and you are officially a sedevacantist and have separated yourself from the Church. There are no other choices.

You are also rejecting all decisions made by Pope Francis, including his choice of cardinals who elect the new pope. Therefore, you will never be able to trust the Church again. You are saying Jesus lied and that the gates of hell have prevailed against the Church.

Does Mary Ann agree with you? Is she also sedevacantist?

The Antichrist is Born

The Basilica of Nursia lay in ruins on Oct. 30 *, 2016 on the feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, as established by Pope Pio XI (the Polish bishop as he personally described his ecclesiastical dignity). The only thing left of the noble edifice was the facade, that the guts of the Church, the holy Catholic faith, had already been ripped out by the infernal enemy.
"Rome will lose faith" ... - The Blessed Virgin prophesied this in La Salette in 1846, but then, already at the time of Bl. Pio IX, the church's freemasonry feverishly worked to ridicule Her messages and make a madwoman with Melanie Calvat. They have done their job: the Saletinian Fathers claim to this day that this is a false prophecy, although the course of events in the Vatican shows their authenticity.
... "and become the seat of the Antichrist". It happened: the false prophet Jorge the Apostate, participating, on October 4th, in a pagan ritual, tenderly embraced a figurine of a pregnant „false Hebrew nun”, who on the lawn in the Vatican Gardens gave birth to an incarnate Satan: this wooden boy without a pampers on a blanket. We will soon find out his identity: he is an elderly man, because his grandmother was born on September 29th,1896(!). It happened on feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, to whom the Lord Jesus entrusted with an unimaginably difficult task: "Rebuild my Church." And what was to be done, the Poverello? (In this context his nickname is the most adequate.) At Christmas AD1223 he erected a rocky manger in Greccio (Lazio). For whom? After all, Jesus Christ the Savior was born 1223 years earlier. So who is this hard cradle for? For the another Comforter, the Paraclete, the Anointed of God who will fight and defeat Antichrist with the breath of his mouth. Where did he come from? Our Mother the Holy Church will give birth to him in the midst of persecution that has never happened before and will not be there later.
October 7th, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary

* Vigil to Saint Quentin, Martyr - The Eldest Daughter of the Church, i.e. France, still matters and together with the 'Fifth' ('Quintus') will again light up the darkness of the world.

The 'B&B16' Duo
The confusion that can be seen in the Roman Catholic church is not a crisis but an epochal breakthrough.
The last papal decision of Benedict XVI led to the transformation of the Saint Peter's Office into a synodal two-headed hybrid. Actually he dissolved - by virtue of power given to him [Mat 16, 19] by Jesus Christ - the same office on Feb. 28, 2013 at 8 p.m. (CET), so no he may already be a Roman Pontiff neither himself nor anyone else. This decision is irrevocable.
The dissolution of the papacy does not mean that the gates of hell have overcome the militant Church [Mat 16, 18]. The Church will be reborn with the power of God as it was when the Mosaic religion degenerated into the form of the synagogue of Satan and Jesus Christ appeared to breathe new life into the Church of God and raise it to a higher level thrugh the Holy Sacraments.
By the act of Feb. 10 (11), 2013, B16 released the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. These Keys are the Apocalyptic Woman and the Paraclete; only now the Church will shine on the whole earth with full splendor.

The end of the papacy in Rome is precisely described in the Prophecy of Saint Malachi (+ 1148), the archbishop of Armagh:

'Gloria Olivae' - Benedict XVI; the glory/finial of the Roman Catholic church are two olive trees [Rev. 11, 4], which will blossom only now at the end of times - the Paraclete and the Woman of the Revelation.

'In persecutione extrema S.R.E. Sedebit' - 'S.R.E [Sancta Romana Ecclesia] is in a period of extreme persecution' - this is the phenomenon of Jorge Bergoglio, the destroyer of the Roman Catholic church (especially of the College of Cardinals, the very top of the Church hierarchy). Bergoglio, aside from the B16's dissolution of the papacy, as an apostate, could not be the vicar of Jesus Christ, and therefore Saint Malachi does not name his name among the Pontifex but only characterizes the effects of his actions.

'Petrus Romanus, qui pascet oves in multis tribulationibus: quibus transactis civitas septicollis diruetur & Iudex tremendus iudicabit populum suum. Finis'. (“Peter the Roman will feed his flock in the midst of many persecutions, and when it ceases, the city of seven hills will be torn down and a terrible judge will judge his people”.)
Saint Peter the Apostle was not a Roman (citizen of Rome). Peter the Roman is a Son of the Roman Catholic church (means a Roman) and is identical to the terrible Judge, the same as the Paraclete.
The papacy in Rome was abolished definitively and irrevocably. What now? The fulfillment of this request addressed to God the Father for nearly 2,000 years: 'Come Thy Kingdom, thy will be done, as in heaven so also on earth.' The Kingdom of God on earth, finally!

I agree with you. But let me try to explain briefly my take on St. Malachy.
God is the Lord of History (as well as everything else), but we live in time, and revelations (small r) may be piecemeal. In St. Malachy's time, his predictions may well have ended at the Second Coming. However, since Fatima we know we have a reprieve -- the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is God's 'last chance' given to the world, announced just over 100 years ago. I believe that after 'Glory of the Olive', Francis does not appear because he is/will be judged to be an antipope. 'Peter the Roman' will be the pope who shepherds the Church through the Great Chastisement that will precede the TIHM -- which, in fact, we have been promised. So according to my interpretation, St. Malachy's prophecies end not with the Day of Judgement, but 'just' the destruction of our civilisation (not to make light of this, as I believe it will indeed seem to be the end of the world).

Sojourner,
I'm not the one worshiping a Pachamama fertility goddess in the Vatican Gardens, and so far the ceiling of my house is still intact, that is, bits and pieces have not fallen on my table during dinner like at St Peters during Bergoglio's Mass three days ago.

The problem with rejecting the papacy and refusing to recognize Pope Francis is that you are also declaring all of his successors invalid because you are saying that the cardinals appointed by Pope Francis are also invalid and therefore unable to elect the next Pope. The line of successors to St Peter has been broken and the gates of hell have prevailed. Jesus Christ lied to us.

The Catholic Church has ceased to exist because there is no Church without Peter, the rock on whom it is founded.

Reject the papacy and you have rejected Christ. You have put yourself in a very serious situation.

My dear deceased friend Fr Belisarius was a Jesuit at one time and assured me Malachi Martin's book, "The Jesuits" was spot on.
I suggest you read his 1983 book, "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Church".
The "Superforce" as Malachi referred to in his "Keys of this Blood" is in control of the institutional church.

Our Holy Mother ( pregnant with Our Savior bows low before the sanctuary and the beast therein extends his neck to devour Her but he cannot do it) Emmerick ......" .....and the woman was carried on the wings of an eagle to a place that was made for Her where she will be nourished for a time times and a half.......Apocalypse.
why concern yourselves ? Just be aware and Trust that God is in control.

Dear Susan. An excellent book about Catholic Prophecy, "Trial, Tribulation, & Triumph Before, During, and After Antichrist" by Desmond A Birch, on page 236, describes the "alleged prophecies" of St. Malachy and in a footnote observes, "In the opinion of this author, there is sufficient evidence of major "interpolations" of these prophecies.

He is not the only Catholic who has said that about these putative prophecies, although it is helpful to note that on page 307, Mr. Birch includes Malachy's prophecy about Ireland, observing, How could St. Malachy in the 1100s have foreseen that England would separate from the unity of the Faith four centuries later

It seems there are good reasons to be more than skeptical about the putative list of Popes by St Malachy

Jorge Bergoglio was invalidly elected in a tainted conclave, his candidacy being pushed by a cabal of heretical German cardinals known as the St. Gallen mafia. He is no more the "Pope" than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

But even more importantly, the resignation of Benedict XVI was utterly non-canonical, as more and more intelligent Catholics are beginning to recognize. It doesn't matter what Benedict XVI thinks or says -- he's still the only real Pope we've got. The Argentine impostor is a heretical Anti-Pope.

That is incorrect.

The Catholic Church has no official binding definition of the term "antipope." An antipope can be someone who claims to be the bishop of Rome but is really not the bishop of Rome, regardless of whether there is actually a bishop of Rome extant at the time.

There have been antipopes who have outlived true popes. During the interim between the death of the true pope and the election of another true pope, the living antipope didn't cease being an antipope. He was still an antipope during that time even though there was no pope living.

In any event, some people hold Benedict XVI to still be pope. If that were true, they would not be sedevacantists, as they believe there is still a true pope.

"You are also rejecting all decisions made by Pope Francis, including his choice of cardinals who elect the new pope. Therefore, you will never be able to trust the Church again. You are saying Jesus lied and that the gates of hell have prevailed against the Church."

This is a non sequitur.

Pope Formosus was dead a few weeks before his second successor, Pope Stephen VI (the first successor lasted only a few days) had his corpse dug up and put on trial, after which all of Formosus' acts were annulled, including his ordinations. Stephen then declared Formosus to be an antipope.

After Stephen's death, various succeeding popes went back and forth contradicting one another as to whether Formosus was a true pope.

None of the people involved believed that Jesus lied, and the Church survived. In fact, the Church has never officially ruled whether Formosus was a true pope. There are at least two popes who ruled he was not. There are at least two popes who ruled that he was.

The Church will survive Pope Francis, whether he is pope or not.

Dear Sojourner. There has been no rejection of the papacy but those who refuse to accept novelties are merely faithfully compiling with Vatican 1 which taught that doctrines must always be believed and that there can be no change in doctrines.

It is Our Pope and Our Cross who is not faithful but hat does mean one has the liberty to abandon the One True Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church established by Jesus for that alone is the Kingdom of God.

Now, it has become popular to tell the faithful they must desert the Kingdom of God to find solace and salvation in the Kingdom of Satan because that is what God wills - apparently.

That is diabolical deception no different than the diabolical deception that manifests itself in individual lay catholics declaring that Francis aint Pope because substantial error, forced abdication etc but those claims are an example of protestant private judgment.

It is The Church which decides, not individual laymen but those individual laymen have been snookered by Novus Ordo Watch, the Schismatic there-aint-been-a-pope-since-pius xii clan and, of course, bullets, but that is not a sign of health but democratic degeneracy but he Catholic Church is not a democracy.

One must be patient, keep the faith, and wait on The Lord and one of the most useful things a man can do is to read and read again Saint Vincent of Lerins, Commonitory, for in there are they keys to understand what it is we are faced with.

Accrc to Saint Vincent, God allows these trails to test us to see if we love Him and the Benedict is still Pope crowd is failing the test.

During this epoch of epicene ecclesiastical excrescence it is a simple duty of the faithful Catholic to keep the Faith once delivered and remain in the Ark of salvation, to shun novelties, and to offer up the suffering of remaining faithful.

Jesus has always been, still is, and will continue to be the head of His Catholic Church on earth and it is in the Catholic Church alone that He dwells.

It is incumbent upon the doubters to describe where Jesus is if one is to follow their advice to leave the Church.

TO Anonymous - I agree with your comment above that antipope bergoglio is not the pope because of Benedict's invalid non-canonical partial resignation. I just watched Ann Barnhardt's two videos on this and agree 100% with her. I approached my decision via a weak argument (Prophecies of Malachi). Ann's is rock solid, defended by Canon Law. Bergoglio is not the pope.(video references below)

To Amateur Brain Surgeon - Although brilliant, Aiken is not one of my favorite apologists. I still believe St Malachi, but believe Ann Barnhardt even more because one cannot refute what she said.

To Sojourner - Benedict is still the pope so the See isn't vacant...which makes Bergoglio an antipope. What? You think the cardinals that man appointed are good ones for electing the next pope...who would then be another antipope? Watch Ann's videos (I'm watching them again for the second day in a row) First one is 2 hrs 15 mins, 2nd video is 1 hr 45 mins. That's FOUR hours of incredible TRUTH. Man up.

To Anonymous - Re: The Decline and Fall of the Roman Church by Malachi Martin. I will order that today. Just finished his book The Jesuits: The Betrayal of the Roman Catholic Church and could see that what Arrupe did to the Jesuits then, Bergoglio (a Jesuit) is doing to the Church now. JPII REMOVED Arrupe, just as now Bergoglio needs to be REMOVED.

Susan - if Benedict is still Pope, then someone better let him know because he doesn’t think so. Benedict does not exercise any papal duties. He has no authority over anyone. He does not make rulings, declares no saints, does not write any papal documents. He lives in seclusion, a prayerful, contemplative life. He no longer is a representative of the Church to the world. Very importantly, Francis is the only one appointing cardinals, the men who will vote for the next pope. Francis has appointed 88 cardinals. If Francis is not Pope, then these cardinals are all invalid, and there can never again be a valid conclave to elect the pope. The Church is now officially dead, if you are to be believed.

This is what one Peter five, hardly a friend of Francis, had to say about Benedict supporting Francis:

Pope Benedict shows himself apparently to be in effective collaboration with the “reform” agenda of Pope Francis, which often enough puts Mercy above Justice. Benedict gives his blessing to a work which has led to the apostolic exhortation Amoris Laetitia (AL), which has gathered such strong criticism from theologians and philosophers that “heresy” has often been mentioned in this context.

https://onepeterfive.com/pope-emeritus-benedicts-ongoing-support-of-the-francis-papacy/

One more thing, did you read what Cardinal Sarah said about opposing the Pope?

“The truth is that the Church is represented on earth by the vicar of Christ, that is by the pope. And whoever is against the pope is, ipso facto, outside the Church,” the cardinal said in an interview published Oct. 7 in Corriere della Sera, an Italian daily.

https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2019/10/09/cardinal-sarah-to-oppose-the-pope-is-to-be-outside-the-church/

I consider Ann Barnhardt to be one of the most hateful people on the Internet. If she is the one you follow, you are going down a very dangerous road.

I repeat, you and all who believe as you do are in a very bad place.

Mary Ann Kreitzer, this is your blog. Yet you are being completely silent. Where do you stand? Do you also completely reject Pope Francis? Are you Sedevacantist? Saying Benedict is Pope is a cop out. He would be the first to tell you it is not true. He said when he left the papacy that he would give full support to his successor and we should do likewise.

According to Wikipedia:

According to Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi, Pope Benedict XVI would not have the title of Cardinal upon his retirement and would not be eligible to hold any office in the Roman Curia.[19] On 26 February 2013, Father Lombardi stated that the Pope's style and title after resignation are His Holiness Benedict XVI, Roman Pontiff Emeritus, or Pope Emeritus.[20] In later years, Benedict expressed his desire to be known simply as "Father Benedict" in conversation.[21]

These are not the actions or words of a man who still thinks he is pope.

Incorrect.

The entire college of cardinals can disappear, and we can still obtain another pope. The process would merely revert to what it was historically: election by the clergy and/or people of the Diocese of Rome. The pope is their bishop, and historically they elected their bishops.

The history of the Church is replete with anomalies in papal elections: the papacy being taken by force, popes ordering their rivals murdered, bloodshed during the papal election, popes buying and selling their offices, popes being elected by only a few cardinals who fled Rome, et cetera.

"I repeat, you and all who believe as you do are in a very bad place."

We have priests who get arrested for publicly engaging in perversion in a car in full view of passersby, priests who leave the priesthood and marry one another, multitudes of priests and bishops who openly promulgate heresy, perversion, and sacrilege, nuns who advocate for abortion, Catholics worldwide who openly profess their allegiance to abortion while receiving Holy Communion from the hands of bishops, and some people worry about a handful of people who question the present pope.

Too bad Catholics have refused for decades to do something about the multitudes of clergy, bishops, and laity who are truly "in a bad place."

Susan Matthiesen said...

Wow Sojourner...just wow. First, Benedict only PARTIALLY resigned the papacy - according to his own words - and partial resignation is not canonically valid. He still lives within the Vatican, still wears white, still wears his papal ring, still is called Holiness and still is called Pope Benedict XVI - or Pope Emeritus, whatever that is.

If Cardinal Sarah said not to oppose the pope I would hope he said that before the pagan idol worship ritual in the Vatican Gardens and not after. But the obvious question is - who is the real pope? I will definitely not engage in idol worship of Amazon pagan rituals calling down demon spirits, so if I am to follow that, I will NOT DO IT.

In addition, did Cardinal Sarah think we women need to breast feed our pets...like the poster in Santa Maria in Transportina in Rome (where the entire Amazonian leftist Marxist agenda is plastered all over the church, including the main altar) just outside the Vatican walls? The poster is ON A SIDE ALTAR to show that women, in particular those who give birth and therefore have milk, need to also breast feed beasts. Am I to "follow" THAT?

You can breast feed weasels if you want to, because you want to "follow" what Pope Francis wants you to. I want to follow what Our Lord wants and I'm 100% certain that He does not want women to breast feed dogs, weasels or any other beasts. In addition, animals lick their hind parts to clean themselves. Does Francis then want said beast, having cleaned itself, to then turn and be breast fed by a human woman? That's perverse. We are supposed to rise in human dignity, not descend to the level of beasts.

Sojourner, I had to laugh when I read your comment about my silence. My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on October 4th and had the audacity to go away for a week in the mountains where I hardly looked at my computer once. Now, we are getting ready for my husband to have knee replacement surgery.

I have a life besides the blog and I don't feel any obligation to be at the beck and call of every person who comments here.

Do I agree with Susan? Frankly, I don't know. We aren't clones.

I love and respect Susan and I know one thing for sure -- that we have an evil pope who is undermining the faith every chance he gets. It's not the first time in Church history and a man can be evil and still be a valid pope.

When Joan of Arc was asked about who was the pope (I think there were four men claiming to be pope at the time) she said she didn't know.

I'm with Joan. Things are so nuts right now that I cling to the Fathers of the Church and the unchanging doctrine. Other than that, I muddle on with my rosary in one hand and my Magnificat in the other as I attend daily Mass.

Susan Matthiesen said...

I'm still waiting for Sojourner to let us know if she's with Bergoglio on the "women breast feeding animals" issue. You know - if she thinks Catholics should bow down to naked fertility idols...if she agrees with the indigenous custom of half naked women breast feeding strange looking animals. Do Catholic women need to join FEMEN? Should we cast away our bras? I live in Florida. Please don't tell me that I have to go to the nude beach at Canaveral Seashore Park from now on.

So far Sojourner has not said one word about the pagan idol worship in the Vatican Gardens or the poster at Santa Maria in Transportina showing how women in the Amazon are "one with the earth" by breast feeding a weasel or whatever kind of beast it is. Hmmm. Sojourner? You still there?

Amateur Brain Surgeon...Barnhardt has a gun? Good for her. That's one more notch in her favor as far as I'm concerned.

Sojourner said...

Wow, I didn't realize that I had come across such a fringe element. There is so much hate here, no sign of Christian charity at all. If I thought you people were true representatives of the Catholic Church, I would run as far away from the Church as I could.

You live in your own reality. These are the words of Pope Benedict when he resigned. He first talked of his poor health and then said this:

"For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from February 28, 2013, at 8 p.m., the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is."

He ended his statement with this:

"And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff. With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer."

On his last day as Pope, Benedict met with the cardinals and said this:

"Before greeting you individually, I would like to tell you that I will continue to be close to you in prayer, especially in the coming days," he said towards the end of a speech in the Clementine Hall of the Apostolic Palace. "Among you is the future pope, to whom I promise my unconditional reverence and obedience."

BTW, McCarrick was among those Benedict greeted that day. Guess Pope Benedict didn't do a very good job of enforcing the supposed sanctions claimed by Vigano and allegedly lifted by Francis.

These are not the words of a PARTIAL resignation. And for your info, emeritus means retired.

I leave you all to your own crazy ideas and pray God will be merciful to you. I do hope that anyone who happens to read this blog will not think it is representative of the Church.

Actually, I think it is totally representative of the Church today which is in such confusion. I don't think much about this particular question because it doesn't change my faith one bit. I trust that God who gave us Holy Mother Church will protect her no matter how bad the pope is. As DJR points out Church history is full of bad popes. And, in fact, the Church surviving despite all the evil men sitting on Peter's chair is one more proof that she is a divine, not a human, institution.

Thank you for your prayers, Sojourner. We are all struggling. In the end, this disagreement is a speed bump in the road and Padre Pio's words are more important than ever: "Pray, hope, and don't worry."

Sojourner...You certainly are judgmental about other people and who and what constitutes hate. Hmmmmmm. Guess hate is what you say it is. Additionally, your refusal to address the issue of pagan rituals in the Vatican Gardens and women breast feeding animals, makes me conclude that you have no answers for those therefore are in complete agreement with them....which indicates your leftist Marxist leanings. I'm sure you will be happy when there is a woman priest celebrating pagan rituals within your own parish church, complete with naked fertility goddesses.

Susan. I don't think that's fair. We can't assume more than Sojourner's words say. She has basically disagreed with the opinion of those who believe that the pope is not the pope. That is certainly a debatable point and we can disagree with each other respectfully.

Sojourner, you can certainly embrace an opinion about our 'crazy ideas', but by your statement that you "pray God will be merciful" to us, you're treading on dangerous ground that comes awfully close to judging the state of our souls. That is the judgment we are forbidden to make.

May God have mercy on all of us and help us to be charitable toward one another.

Dear Susan. That is not true even though that is what Bullets claims.

He full resigned the Papacy ..please read what he wrote not what Bullets falsely thinks he meant.

It has been now, what, three times he has publicly addressed what he calls these absurd claims.

Blogger Sojourner said... "Wow, I didn't realize that I had come across such a fringe element. There is so much hate here, no sign of Christian charity at all. If I thought you people were true representatives of the Catholic Church, I would run as far away from the Church as I could."

This is the type of false, misplaced hysteria that has been occurring among certain gullible Catholics for decades.

A handful of Catholics believe that Pope Francis is not pope. I don't subscribe to that view, but why in the world would that cause you to run as far away from the Church as you could?

Following is a small sample of things from "true representatives" of the Catholic Church. Why haven't you run away because of any of these?

1. Cardinals, bishops, and priests sodomizing young men.

2. Nuns advocating homosexuality and abortion, even acting as "clinic escorts" at abortion clinics.

3. "Catholic" representative doing the same (and everybody receiving Holy Communion from the hands of the sodomitical cardinals, bishops, and priests).

4. Jesuits criss crossing the world, preaching the acceptance of homosexuality.

5. Thousands of priests and theologians openly preaching heresy. For decades.

6. Priests joining Masonic lodges while remaining priests.

7. Priests leaving the priesthood to marry each other.

8. Bishops openly clamoring for the ordination of women to the priesthood. Ditto for priests, nuns, and lay organizations.

9. Theft from dioceses (millions of dollars) by clerics from one end of the U.S. to the other.

10. Liberation theology, so-called, being promulgated unimpeded for decades.

11. Millions of Catholics leaving the Catholic Church in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S., as well as other places, due to false teaching.

12. Priests and nuns advocating for "transgenderism."

13. Priests joining communist parties.

14. A pope who publicly praises abortionists (among a myriad of other outrageous things).

On and on, ad nauseum.

And you're worried about a handful of faithful, suffering Catholics who have come to a conclusion to which you don't subscribe?

Disgusting.

I see that Sojourner is trolling you too.
