Pope's Song for 2020: Give Me that New Age Religion!

Ready to sing "Give me that new age religion!"
Give me that Old Time  New Age Religion

Did you hear about the Christmas concert at the Vatican where they once again honored Pachamama? Really -- they even urged the folks in the audience to cross their arms over their hearts so they could feeeeeel the heartbeat of Mother Earth.

You can't make this stuff up!

Do you think they had special hymns for Pachamama? She definitely needs a new age religion to update her pagan religion.

As Janet Baker at Restore D.C. Catholicism wrote, proselytizing for paganism is A-okay in Rome. It's just those pesky rigid Catholics who cling to the faith of our Fathers who may not proselytize. Shamans and witch doctors? They get the green light.

So....here's the old version of the song with the new Vatican lyrics beneath. Let's all learn to sing it to purge our rigid adherence to the truth as taught by Jesus Christ and get with the modern world. To limber up and shake off our rigidity we should first do the Hokey-Pokey.

It's high time we all "evolved" in the spirit of Antiochus IV who wanted to Hellenize the Hebrews helping them get with the modern times. In 2020, the old time religion is definitely out and the New Age religion is in. (Expect to see it in the Washington Post's list of what's in and what's out for 2020.)

The Vatican education office (which sponsored the concert) will be offering workshops on the proper etiquette for offering your pinch of incense to Pachamama. Proper liturgical form for crossing your arms over your breast to feeeeeeeeel the beat of Mother Earth's heart will also be given. Note in the photo of clergy above the inconsistent form. Lessons are definitely needed! No doubt there's a liturgical dancer who can offer his/her/its services.  There will also be exercise instructions in how to breathe in the spirit of the world while you empty your head of all rational and politically incorrect thoughts.

Warning label for believers. This behavior is dangerous to spiritual health and increases susceptibility of possession by Pachamama and her demons.

Refrain: Give me that new age religion, give me that new age religion
give me that new age religion, it's good enough for me.

It was good for Pachamama, it was good for all the shamans
It was good for Papa Francis, it's good enough for me.

Refrain

It was good for the wiccans, it was good for the masons,
It was good for the satanists, it's good enough for me.

Refrain

It was good enough for Pelosi, it was good enough for Biden,
It was good enough for Cuomo, it's good enough for me

Refrain

It was good enough for Krautler, it was good enough for Cupich,
It was good enough for Tobin and Farrel, it's good enough for me.

Refrain

It will take us to perdition, it will take us to perdition
It will take us to perdition, it's good enough for me.

  2. So WHY were the priests in this crossed arm posture????

  3. Chriss -- They were feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeling the heartbeat of Mother Earth. You can read more at Church Militant.

  5. No. You're both wrong. Since Mother Earth is crying in such great pain from all the people trying to do her in with climate change and everything, the bishops pictured are showing their solidarity...you know...with Pachamama of Sorrows.

  6. Dear Susan. Were you to go to The Divine and Holy Liturgy of St John Chrysostom at The Greek Melkite Catholic Church in Delray Beach, Florida, you'd see communicants going to receive Holy Communion with arms crossed over their hearts.

One of the many problems with the ferocious but facile rebarbative polemics of Bullets is that in her ignorance and arrogance she implicitly condemns the innocent along with the putatively guilty.

  7. Since you suggested the song "do the hokey pokey" for a warm-up, may I be so bold as to offer my own version, to supplement your fine work? Thanks! https://restore-dc-catholicism.blogspot.com/2019/12/do-pachamama.html

  8. ABS,
    1) Children before their first Holy Communion and non-Catholics may walk in the Communion line with their arms folded as such and receive a blessing from the priest.
    2) Ann's pictures were brilliant.
    3) These bishops are not in the Communion line.

So tell me, please. Is it left over right or right over left? The bishop on the right looks unsure of himself, as if he's asking the viewer if he's doing it correctly. The other bishops are doing it left over right.

  9. Dear Susan. You avoided the substance of what ABS wrote about the posture of communicants receiving Holy Communion at The Divine and Holy Liturgy of St John Chrysostom - a posture that is of Tradition and immemorial praxis.

As to Bullets and her penchant for blindly and rashly reaching for her guns to blast away at her enemies, a much more reasonable explanation is that the Bishop were simply following the instructions of the woman asked to appear before them without any thought or deflexion about what they were doing

ABS is not defending what our Bishops normally do -or, worse, what they don't do - but what they are doing in the vid seems defensible, whereas when they were promoting the dual covenant theory the that is hone Bullets is justified in blasting away.

    Have a Blessed Christmastide

  10. ABS - The much more reasonable explanation is that the bishops will follow what any wolf placed before them tells them to do because they have no belief in Christ.

So you're saying it's OK for them to do this "posture of communicants receiving Holy Communion at the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom - a posture that is of Tradition and immemorial praxis" while sitting in an auditorium following instructions of a woman (witch doctor?) teaching them to worship an idol. In addition, the Masons DO also have this posture.

It's a sign of reverence. The bishops are revering an idol. And you defend that. This posture is what is done in the Greek Melkite church so it's OK for everyone on the planet to do in any situation, even worshiping Satan and idols.

It's incredible that you hate Ann so much. At least she's fiery and has passion about her beliefs...unlike the foolish mealy bishops "simply following the instructions of the woman asked to appear before them without any thought or refection about what they were doing". Yeah. That's the kind of bishops we need. Thoughtless. Following any idol appearing before them with no inkling of what they are doing.

  11. Dear Susan. After clicking in the link that Mary Ann posted, ABS agrees with you. He didn't find that explained by Bullets.

What can be known about the Bishops is that they will do what is asked of them when they are in an audience at practically any event but this was not just any event.

    You are right.

    Apologies.

O, and ABS does not hate Bullets and that binary way of thinking - one either loves or hates another - is not helpful at all.

Finally, as for our Ordinary, Bishop Barbarito, ABS can write that he at least has a orthodox Pre Cana program.

Other than that, what can one what write about him?

He has not responded to any of the letters ABS has written requesting more Real Masses, a public response to the latest progressive preaching, prose, and praxis of Bergolio etc
