Time Out for a Break from all the Bad News. Let us Glory in God's Color Show!

The beauty of an autumn drive in the Virginia and West Virginia mountains. Come and see!

My husband and I took a picnic to Lost River State Park in West Virginia yesterday. The ride over North Mountain under the canopy of color thrilled my heart. God's world inspires me as the greatest art museum and symphony hall on the planet.

The stars at night and the beauty of a field of wheat dancing in the breeze, the huge waterfalls with their pounding crash and the tiny waterfalls with their soft gurgling. Everything out here in the valley reminds me of God. Yesterday, we saw, not only the majestic mountains and undulating hills, but the farms with their black angus cows and woolly white sheep, the field corn, now dried and a warm-colored tan, the mountain still mostly green but with spots of gold, scarlet, and orange catching the eye. The entire afternoon testified to the hymn, How Great Thou Art.

Take a break from all the bad news and go for a ride in the hills. If you head out to the valley come sit a spell with us at Camp Kreitzer and enjoy a cup of tea with our bees' honey. Laugh at the antics of our silly chicks. We love visitors and the weather is glorious. We can pray the rosary while we marvel at the view of the Massanutten Mountain. If we're lucky maybe a hang glider will be flying overhead.

Let us say a prayer of thanksgiving for the true, the good, and the beautiful. Despite all the insanity in our world, God has not and will not abandon us.

Praised be Jesus Christ now and forever!
