But there were other effects also, perhaps unintended. Feminist radicalism turned many men into "metrosexuals," feminized men; and homosexuality grew in epidemic proportions. The bizarro world of fashion today dresses male models in outlandish girly costumes that make many of us cringe. "Who wears that stuff?" Perverts in pride parades, of course.
And the lament grows: "Why can't I find a good man to date?"
It's easy to shake our heads and laugh, but it really is no laughing matter. Feminism, to a large degree, fueled the engine that, like the star trek transporter, has "beamed up" women off the face of the earth. We've been disappeared. Men have taken our places. They are filling up the spots at beauty pageants and taking away the modeling jobs. They win the track and swim meets as they tower over their opponents.
Has Playboy Magazine offered a transgender "woman" yet in its centerfold? If not, they will. Maybe the Miss Universe contestant from the Netherlands.
Today many, like Supreme Court judge Ketanji Jackson, can't even define the word woman. Will we disappear from the dictionary as undefinable? Merriam Webster still defines woman as "an adult female person," but has added a woke spin: “having a gender identity that is opposite of male.”
Really? You can change reality by choosing an unreal "identity." They used to send people who did that to the funny farm. Now the whole world is an asylum.
In 2011, feminist Kay S. Hymowitz, wrote, Manning Up: How the Rise of Women Has Turned Men Into Boys for the Wall Street Journal. After decades of insulting men calling them rapists and oppressors, the instigators lament the fact that many men have retreated into extended adolescence.
So what do we have now? A culture that celebrates men becoming women and taking all the awards from biological women, not to mention positions of power like Admiral Levine, Assistant Secretary of Health, the obese man parading around in a bikini as the nation's health guru.
Is there a solution to this pathetic and lamentable situation? There's always is for the Christian. Be a truth teller because the truth will set you free. Refuse to participate in the lunacy. It will get the name-callers on your trail. They will accuse you of being hateful, homophobic, and every other nasty epithet they can think of. Wear them as badges of honor. Be as kind as you can as you speak the truth, but don't worry about hurting people's feelings. Treat the truth like the surgeon's knife. We live in a sick society. The boil needs to be lanced before the victim dies of septicemia. Pray and speak the truth. Our sisters, daughters, and granddaughters deserve it!
Our Lady, Help of Christians, intercede for us!
Building onto this a few months ago I have heard that several young girls today (say elementary school age) are afraid to play certain sports for fear that the other kids will label them as "butch, lesbian, etc." As a guy who grew up in the 70s and 80s there were girls who were good at sports and would throw a ball around with us guys. Basically they were "tomboys". By the time I was about 16 I couldn't help noticing that several of these girls became some of most beautiful and feminine women (no I am not dead) at our high school. Many young girls go through a "tomboy stage " and for many it's part of growing up. Young girls shouldn't be ashamed for climbing trees? fishing, etc.
ReplyDeleteI do agree today's culture is getting bad. Men should not be beauty queens and men should not be allowed on the women's swim team.
This is why women are not supposed to be preachers or leaders because they can't see the logical consequences of what they propose like men can. Women couldn't see that pushing homosexuality leads to "where have all the good men gone?" when all the dudes with 6 packs are getting with each other and only the men who don't work out stay straight. LOL!
