Excuse My Bluntness, but Some Clerics are Idiots! Take Cardinal Farrell, for example!

Is this really Kevin Farrell in disguise?
The Catholic Church has some serious problems. Certainly, the sex abuse crisis magnified by the bishops' cover-up crisis is at the top of the list. But we also have a major idiocy problem in the hierarchy!

I came across proof while reading interview comments from Cardinal Kevin Farrell who heads the Vatican Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life. Note well...This is the same Kevin Farrell who was good buddies with Cardinal McCarrick, who worked under McCarrick, whose career was advanced by McCarrick, who was ordained a bishop by McCarrick, who shared an apartment with McCarrick... who now claims he knew nothing about McCarrick's pederasty and sex abuse.

He was shocked, absolutely shocked by the revelations!

Cardinal Farrell not only sounds like Sergeant Schultz from Hogan's Heroes; he looks like him -- fat and dumb. (I know...that's mean. It's hard not to be mean in the face of such b.s.)

Hmmm...yeah, we believe ya. You and all the other homosexual-promoting bishops who shill for homosexualist Jesuit James Martin and invite him to scandalize the faithful, in your case by keynoting the World Meeting of Families in Dublin this month.

Excuse me, but if a cleric honors and features Fr. James Martin who champions sodomite relationships and can't wait until sodomites can kiss their partners during Mass at the sign of peace, etc. my first question is, "Cardinal...are you a homosexual? Are you being blackmailed to advance the sodomite agenda? Or are you doing it because you're a member of the club?"

Farrell praised Martin's book, Building a Bridge calling it “welcome and much-needed.” He said that it will “help LGBT Catholics feel more at home in what is, after all, their church.” Keep in mind that Martin defends and promotes active homosexuality. We're not talking about inclinations to sin that are resisted, temptations that are struggled against and confessed when one falls. We are talking about the embrace of the inclination to sin, acting on it, and defending it as a grace and a blessing.

I wonder what St. Paul would say about that. You know, the St. Paul who wrote in Romans:
Wherefore God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie; and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator....For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error. [Romans 1:24-27]
Somehow, I don't think Paul would be holding an "all are welcome" sign and giving sodomites the
Body and Blood of Christ with a big "y'all come and get the cracker" smile.

We're all sinners, that is absolutely true. But not all of us proudly parade our sins and demand everyone to call our sins virtues and blessings!

But I've digressed from my main point -- Cardinal Farrell's recent statements about marriage and the priest's involvement in marriage prep. Here's what he said in the interview:
...priests are not the best people to train others for marriage....They have no credibility; they have never lived the experience; they may know moral theology, dogmatic theology in theory, but to go from there to putting it into practice every day....they don’t have the experience.
Is he serious? Every priest is married to the Church, the Bride of Christ. Marriage is about commitment and promise-keeping. It's about taking vows before God and meaning them. Isn't that what priests do at ordination? Marriage is about serving others in the family every day. Isn't that what priests do in the family of the Church every day?

And doesn't every priest grow up in a family? Many, I dare say most, came from intact families with the daily lived example of parental love and commitment. To say priests have "no credibility" is more than idiotic, it's imbecilic and moronic!

Jesus is the High Priest of the Catholic Church. Does He have "no credibility" as well, Cardinal Farrell?

Bishop Thomas Tobin of Rhode Island tweeted in response to Farrell's comments, “It seems fair to ask, then, if a celibate cleric has sufficient 'credibility' to lead a dicastery devoted to laity, family and life." (More here.) I'd say a resounding NO! Remove Farrell. He is unfit -- especially in light of his inviting Fr. Martin to speak at the World Meeting of Families in Dublin.

My husband and I were involved for years in various marriage prep programs: Engaged Encounter, Conferences for the Engaged, and Pre-Cana in addition to teaching Natural Family Planning. We have considerable experience with priests and marriage prep. Priests are essential in leading couples to understand the seriousness of their commitment and its sacramental nature. The laity are partners with the priest. But that's not, apparently, what Cardinal Farrell thinks.

Well... in view of his great fondness for the positions of Fr. Martin, I'd say he has very little understanding about marriage between a man and a woman at all. Perhaps, like Martin, he looks forward to the day when sodomite couples can scandalize children by embracing and kissing their "partners" during Mass. (Mommy, why are those two men kissing like that?)

Cardinal Farrell and other clerics of his ilk are exactly why we have a McCarrick scandal.

Pray for Holy Mother Church and make reparation for our false shepherds.

  1. The Catholic Catechism refers, in paragraph 2359, to "homosexual persons reliant on self-mastery to chastity".

This paragraph is the hinge upon which the Catholic Church has fallen into a den of sodomitic perversion. It should be removed.

There are no sodomite "homosexual persons". There are only persons made in the image of God, spiritually dead in their trespasses and sins, who are *in need of conversion and baptism into new life in Christ*, whatever their chosen, damnable sin may be. In this case sodomy. Which needs conversion to Christ-like love between one man and one woman for life; or to Christ and Christ alone in a Vocation.

Some ignore the call to conversion and revel in sodomy until hell, sulfur and fire receives them, listening to Lucifer whisper in their ear that *"God made them that way*". Others answer the call to conversion and pray for God's grace to convert to and remain in Christ, listening to their Guardian Angel that they were made for holiness and sexual purity, *a new creation*, until heaven receives them to eternal bliss as God intended; Man and Woman God created them.

We should not use the sodomite word, "homosexual". *Sodomite*. We should not refer to children made in the image of God as homosexual. *Sinners*. We should not refer to sodomy as a "psychological disorder". *Spiritually dead*. Let Lucifer use his words with those who follow him. We have the words of Christ. Cleans the Temple of all words and concepts that do not belong to Christ our King.

  2. I am as disgusted as anybody, but is it possible that Cardinal Farrell's "I know nothing" is an awkward way of his honoring the seal of the confessional? It is certainly possible that he heard Cardinal McCarrick's confession during the years they were in close proximity.

  3. That may be true, but if he was in close proximity, he probably had other eye witness experiences OUTSIDE the confessional. I wouldn't let him off the hook that easily. Sodomites exercise all kinds of ruses to disguise their evil. A sodomite priest in our diocese put on a back entrance in the rectory for his partners to come and go. A priest friend who was the associate pastor told me, after a stint at the infamous St. Luke's, that his pastor's boyfriend, "Doesn't like me." No surprise. He was young and handsome, the kind of priests teenage girls call "Fr. What-a-Waste." That pastor is dead now. The young associate was driven out of the priesthood. Once more good man who was sacrificed by the lavender mafia.

  4. Understood. But who knows?

On another note, I appreciate your long defense of Fr. James Haley.

  5. Thank you, Fred. Fr. Haley is a good friend. I pray for him every day, if not by name through the office of my guardian angel who I've put in charge of my prayer list.

    1. Mary Ann, my wife and I attended St. Lawrence in Springfield from 2000 to 2005. There was a priest who was African American with a beard who wore an old fiddelback chasuble who gave great pro-life sermons. What was his name and what happened to him? I called up Father Christopher Mould when he was still there a few years ago but of course, old Mouldy never called me back.

  6. There is this notion going around that if a priest hears about some sin in Confession, he is forever silenced regarding that sin. Thus, if McCarrick told Farrell he was a homosexual predator, Farrell can never say anything about that subject for the rest of his life.

The Seal of Confession applies ONLY to what was heard in Confession.

Regardless of what Farrell might have heard in Confession, Farrell is entirely at liberty to talk about the sins of McCarrick if he heard about them from others.

It is important for people to understand this, because many, many people, including priests, have been posting comments to the effect that a predator can impose a sort of "global gag order" on another priest simply by confessing a certain sin to him.

  7. Thank you for that clarification, Father.

  8. I remember him as well. He used to say Mass at the Poor Clares occasionally. I looked back through the priests' names in an old diocesan directory and I believe it was Fr. James Mercer. Does that ring a bell?

He went on a leave of absence for medical reasons in 2011 according to an article in the Arlington Herald, but I couldn't find anything more recent. In 2000 he left for a period of discernment with the FSSP, but obviously didn't leave since he was still in Arlington in 2011. Thanks for reminding me of him. I'll offer my Mass for him today.

  9. Yes, you are correct. I loved his sermons, and his opponents called him "Father Taliban."

I remember Father Erbacher well. Great confessor who followed the mass rubrics. But then I figured out he had certain visiting priest as boyfriends, such as one I called "father five o'clock shadow."

Poor Father Haley, wonderful priest. And Loverde? There are tales of him from his days at Ogdensburg. What an evil bishop.

  10. A lot of homosexuals use the cover of orthodoxy. I saw a video taken by Fr. Ehrbacher in Rome on a trip with Fr. Saunders, Fr. Rippy, and Fr. Spychala back in the 1990s. He was photographing the genitals of the little cherubs in the churches and two dogs mating in the street with the other priests looking on and laughing. He also had a clip taken with his buddy priests and a seminarian studying in Rome who is a diocesan priest. The priests were acting like little kids making bunny ears over each other's heads. It illustrated the immaturity of these men which is so typical of homosexuals. Immaturity and narcissism are earmarks of homosexuals.

I will not name the seminarian because I do not believe he is a member of the club. In fact, he challenged a gay pastor over his double life who ended up leaving the diocese and moving to the Netherlands where he died of AIDS. (I knew the pastor well since he was our associate for a time and my husband and I also did several Engaged Encounters with him. He was good at hiding in the closet.)

For a long time I have not named names, but I have come to the conclusion that the faithful have a right to know who they are dealing with. Another priest who has since died took me to task over my Fr. Haley blog and especially was upset because he blamed my efforts for keeping Fr. Rippy from becoming a bishop. I told him I thought he gave me too much credit (or blame) but that Fr. Rippy not becoming a bishop was a blessing for the Church and for himself. Homosexuals, whether they act on their attraction or not, look at the world in a disordered way. And many have porn in the closet as Fr. Haley illustrated so graphically. He was ahead of his time and deserves our thanks for blowing the whistle even though so many plugged their ears.

We can't let them continue to do it.

One last comment. There are many cases of homosexuals who used the collection basket as their personal ATM. How vigorous is the financial accountability in parishes? How many priests have access to the collection even when there are safeguards in place? At some point financial crimes are going to be another big scandal. Just wait and see.
