Federal judge, Maryann Sumi, who issued the temporary restraining order against the Wisconsin budget law has a son who is a political operative and a former lead field manager for the SEIO which covers both public and private sector workers. Looks like a conflict of interest which required her to recuse herself from the case. (Isn't it convenient to have Mom on the bench to support your ideology?)
There's no mention of the mother-son relationship in the Examiner piece. Is there any word on getting Sumi's order invalidated on basis of the conflict of interest? She should have recused herself.
