As a little child, I guess he could be forgiven for preaching a form of Gnosticism. The body is not just a "tag" or or a shell that contains the "real me." Catholicism teaches that the body is holy. The Body is part of who we are. This is why we celebrate the Resurrection, the Ascension and the Assumption.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the clarification, Father. I guess when you've been sick your entire life, being freed from that body seems a real blessing.
