The Hospital Couldn't Wait to Get Those Organs!

NEVER, EVER SIGN AN ORGAN DONATION CARD!

What would you do to save your child? This is one more example of the lie of "brain death." The doctors said he could not recover. How much do they really know? Thank God for this good dad who was willing to fight the death peddlers. Houston is the city where Methodist Hospital is planning to kill Chris Dunn. Pray and twitter #HelpChrisSeeChristmas!

  1. What would you do if you need an organ transplant? If you discourage readers to commit to being organ donors wouldn't it be wrong if you to accept organs for yourself or your next of kin?

  2. I would NEVER accept a vital organ. There are worse things that can happen to you than dying and we are all going to die in the end. St. Ignatius, in the Spiritual Exercises, urges retreatants not to prefer a long life to a short life, riches to poverty, health to illness, or honor to dishonor. We should desire only what brings us closer to God.

I know enough about "brain death" and organ donation to realize that the medical profession kills the donor to get his organs. For me -- to accept an organ would be to cooperate in the murder of another person just as surely as if I took a gun and shot him. There is no way I could be part of that. I have no interest in going to hell and I'm sure I would if I accepted a vital organ from someone declared "brain dead" all of whom are alive until they "harvest" the beating heart.

  3. Major organ transplants really don't work like they do in the movies. You spend the rest of your life on anti rejection medicine and die anyway.

  4. Thanks for the comment, Dymphna. I agree.

Larry and I used to dance with a couple of whom the husband had a serious heart defect. They had two children and his daughter inherited it, but they weren't aware. She came in one evening (I think she was nineteen), bounded upstairs, and collapsed in the bathroom and died. Her dad had a heart transplant later. We ran into them years later and he was completely jaundiced. We danced together a few times and he said the anti-rejection drugs were terrible and if he had it to do it over, he doesn't think he would. He's gone now.

We're all going to die, and that's for sure!
