"Those therefore who after the manner of wicked heretics dare to set aside Ecclesiastical Traditions, and to invent any kind of novelty, or to reject any of those things entrusted to the Church, or who wrongfully and outrageously devise the destruction of any of those Traditions enshrined in the Catholic Church, are to be punished thus:
IF THEY ARE BISHOPS, WE ORDER THEM TO BE DEPOSED; BUT IF THEY ARE MONKS OR LAY PERSONS, WE COMMAND THEM TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE COMMUNITY."
--------- Second Council of Nicaea 787 A.D.
Yup, calling for the removal of bishops who act "after the manner of wicked heretics" is part of the tradition of the Church. And, in fact, they were ORDERED "to be deposed" at a more robust time in the Church. Obviously, today faithful laity do well to echo that call from the distant past.
Of course that was in the days before we were inundated with limp-wristed, weak minded modernists ruling over episcopal sees with a wet noodle in one hand and a rainbow flag in the other.
Let us pray with all our hearts for bishops pleasing to the Lord, although ordination of those types of bishops doesn't appear to be likely in the present climate when atheists and heretical clerics advise the pope on papal encylicals and modernist cardinals wheel and deal at Vatican synods.
Don't forget to pray for the pope.

I would have made the following ammendments:
...when atheists and heretical clerics are appointed by and advise the pope on papal encylicals; and modernist cardinals, at the behest and with the full approval and urging of the pope, wheel and deal at Vatican synods for the advancement of the modernist agenda, with the goal being the total corruption of the Church.
Makes one want to weep.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it is time to have Pope Francis retire and have a fair conclave where Cardinals like Kasper and Marx are not lobbying for votes for a certain Cardinal to be Pope to get a pay back and head a synod like on the Family. This would be a good start.
ReplyDeleteFirst the homosexual cardinals priesthoods should be annulled.
ReplyDeleteAh, but that's so harsh and judgmental. The good cardinal was simply doing what Pope Francis has asked of him; "accompanying people on their journey." Which, as everyone knows, will shortly lead to an "encounter with Jesus," and then everything will be just fine, won't it?
