Is anyone surprised when the state disses parents? It's gone on for years with abortion and contraception. How many youngsters are aborted or given the pill with the complicity of school nurses or teachers and other state employees? Not to mention staff members at abortion mills who routinely advise kids to lie about their age (and their adult boyfriend's age) so they can abort the kid and enable the sex abuse to continue unimpeded.
The encroachment on parental authority continues and I wonder how much worse it will get. The other day I was in a restaurant when two obese parents came in with two darling little children. My first thought, which I articulated to my husband, was -- there will come a day when the state argues that parental obesity is child abuse and children should be removed from the home and placed in foster care. But that may come after the state decides that children have a right to be free from the psychological abuse of parental religious values.
Think I'm crazy? Just wait fifteen minutes.
