A Liberal Hoisted on His Own Petard! How Does it Feel, Ralph?

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is groveling today as he's "hoisted on his own petard."

You may not be familiar with that expression. A petard is a small explosive and, sometimes, a bomb-maker gets blown up (hoisted) by his own device. Think of the liberal left's use of the politics of personal destruction. Look what they did to Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, and Brett Kavanaugh and just a few weeks ago to the Covington boys. What a delicious moment to see one of the "righteous ones" get a taste of his own medicine. Do you think the media will pillory Northam like they do Trump for every real and imagined offense? Not likely. They will make all kinds of excuses for him just like they did for the Covington students. (Oh wait, they didn't excuse them did they?)

Ralph Northam won't apologize for supporting infanticide, but now he is in full damage control mode over his blackface photo. The RPV (Republican Party of Virginia) has a petition for his recall based on this. Well...people do a lot of stupid things when they're young. This was stupid and offensive, but what should be the primary reason to want his recall? His support for the murder of the innocent. If you want to sign the petition, go here.

  2. Ralph Northam is being thrown under the bus because the libs want Justin Fairfax to succeed him. Fairfax has all the bonafides. He's black, a descendant of slaves, liberal as can be (maybe even more liberal than Northam), and taking over the governor's office would give him several years to build name recognition for the next election. He's another champion of abortion who defended Kathy Tran's bill. Having him in the wings is a liberal's dream. But Democrats should note from what's happening that there is absolutely no loyalty among these pragmatic folks. Like the Marxists they imitate they will use you and spit you out when they're done.

  3. You're right MaryAnn, I noted Pelosi is also calling for Northam to "do the right thing"
and wondered what was really going on in VA. Thanks for explaining.

  4. I think there are a lot of unanswered questions. Why is the hand of the person in the hood so dark? Might this be a photo of two boys horsing around playing "role reversal"?

Are the two actually adults or 12 year olds. Clothes seem a little too big for either one. What is the label on the can? Is it beer or soda?

There is NOTHING I like about a Committed Democrat or that party, which is in league with the devil, but taking Northam out on the grounds of an old, VERY old photo we know little about seems strangely unAmerican.

All of us should want proof he is actually guilty of THIS action. I think of John Adams who defended the British soldiers. If we truly care about the rule of law we have to want it applied properly to all.

However much I want him guilty, in this country, he is innocent until proven guilty. He said it isn't him.

Let the mob prove him wrong.

I completely agree with Mary Ann. This is a Democrat suffering the same treatment they are famous for hurling at their worst enemies, us. I hope they learn something from this. In the future there may be a new term "Ralphed."

  7. It's actually looking like it wasn't him in the photo but a friend of his. If you click on the link below you can see the plaid pants on Northam's friend. However he did, Northam says, put on blackface for a Michael Jackson imitation.
