My dearest friend was also encouraged to abort her twins. Her hard nosed female Gynecologist let her know she thought their decision to carry full term and give birth was "insane". The twins were born. Yes, one had birth defects and died in her husband's arms shortly after birth. But through their tears saying good bye and cradling this baby they were comforted knowing the infant felt he was loved and would be loved eternally by Our Creator. His twin brother was born healthy and viable and is a young man today.
Quite a contrast there with the "women in white", shouting invectives, profanity, anger and insults, advancing bloodthirsty policy for the innocent and weak among us.
They reminded me of Luther's idea of Justification: Dog excrement covered in snow, (true); nice looking on the outside; foul, fetid, nasty beneath.
