"A line has been crossed here." It's "preposterous" to say that most marriages are invalid because the culture is bad.
Most marriages are valid! The promise protects the commitment and couples grow into marriage. I was 22 when I got married and every day was a new commitment to the promise "for better or worse, in good times and bad, etc." You renew the vow by being faithful to it.

"The Gospel is tough love with a divine origin." Amen! This pope says scandalous things over and over which is likely to lead people into sin which is exactly what scandal is. "For a pope to speak seemingly to demote marriage as it exists and to elevate cohabitation as it exists and on and on.This sends out shock waves that are incalculable."
Yup...the shock waves just keep coming. They create confusion and likely are leading people into sin. Pray and fast for the Church. We are in deep, deep trouble!
When the Vatican overhauled the annulment process in 2015 whereby annulments could now be handed out like candy with no concern whether or not valid marriages were being violated, it was evident then that there was a plan in the works to dissolve marriage via annulments. The repeated commitment to the "indissolubility of marriage" was just a bone to quell suspicions about the very thing we see unfolding now.
ReplyDeleteBut things will get worse. The day approaches when adultery will be called "fidelity" and the legal separation of gays will be considered "sinful divorce." We have truly entered a spiritual twilight zone, the Apocalypse unfolds.
