And Two Thumbs Down for Cardinal Dolan

Let's see if we have this right. President Obama is the most pro-abortion politician in history. He not only favors abortion, but euthanasia by neglect of babies surviving abortion. He attacks the institution of marriage and makes it mandatory for all Catholics to cooperate in the gross immorality of abortion and contraception. And yet...and yet...Cardinal Timothy Dolan invites him to speak at the annual Al Smith dinner? Did  Jesus invite Herod and Pilate to the Last Supper? Here's what Michael Hichborn of American Life League told LifeSiteNews about it:
“Regardless of what they’ve done in the past, it is unthinkable for a Catholic charity to invite the man seeking the destruction of religious freedom in America to a fund raising event....This sends the wrong message to pew-sitting Catholics, who are anxiously looking to our bishops to stand up and fight against this clear enemy of the Church who will be joining them for dinner. The Apostle Paul said it best in his second letter to the Corinthians: ‘Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?’”
Is it any wonder the Church in America is in such confusion and disarray?

A respectful note of concern is not only appropriate, but essential for soldiers of the Church Militant. You can contact the Cardinal at:

  1. It is absolutely unbelievable. My grandfather ran Al Smith's campaign for president. He would be indignant and he sure as hell would not be quiet about it. Thanks for the heads up!

  3. Mary Anne, well it seems as if there is one thing about many of the Catholic bishops, they do not mean what they say or say what they mean. They certainly know how to send mixed messages.

  4. Many African-American ministers are upset by President Obama's push for so-called marriages between two people of the same sex. They have reason to be. How insulting to consider a bad behavior equal to a person's skin color, one which can be overcome and the other cannot and should not be changed.
