Illegal Invasion Bringing Deadly Diseases

Border agents are coming down with serious illnesses.

TB, Swine Flue Assaulting Border Agents

And just think, the feds are putting these illegals with serious diseases on buses and planes and shipping them to all parts of the country. Just wait until TB, swine flu, adult chicken pox, dengue, Ebola, polio, leprosy, plus other unknown but lethal diseases start popping up in our major cities. Think how fast they can spread in the schools, playgrounds, theaters, malls, and other public places in your community.

Where is the CDC in all this? Think about how they quarantine one or two cases of a serious disease. But now, not only is nothing being done to identify and quarantine folks with potentially lethal illnesses like ebola, but they are spreading the potential contact by moving people around on public transportation. Think of the border detention centers where illegals are warehoused in close quarters -- a perfect petrie dish for explosive spread of contagious diseases.

Study history. After World War I, 675,000 Americans died from the Spanish Influenza as doughboys brought the virus home. Twenty to forty million died globally, most between the ages of 20 and 40. More people died in one year than in the infamous Bubonic Plague (the Black Death) of the Middle Ages. Read about it here; it was the most devastating pandemic in world history. It killed the two little shepherd children of Fatima, Francisco and Jacinta.

The sick border agents are the canaries in the mine. Better pay attention before the explosion!

Semantic Gymnastics and Verbal Engineering

I've been having a friendly disagreement with Catholic in Brooklyn over the situation in New York
with Holy Innocents and St. Francis of Assisi and the pre-pride Mass. She calls me angry and judgmental and, frankly, I think she's a little clueless.

Anyway, the conversation got me thinking about another New Yorker, Msgr. William Smith, a holy moral theologian who often spoke at pro-life and home schooling conferences. (He died in 2009, a great loss to the Church Militant here on earth..) I was blessed to hear him speak on several occasions. One of his maxims was "verbal engineering always precedes social engineering." He described how effectively Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups took the spotlight off abortion by renaming it "choice." It created the ludicrous situation of many, even Catholics, claiming to be both pro-life and pro-choice. Feminists and pro-abortionists advanced abortion acceptance with this brilliant strategy! You can hear it in almost any Catholic Church and, in fact, I have a number of practicing Catholic relatives who claim they are "not pro-abortion, but pro-choice" ignoring the obvious moral contradiction of saying they support both the right to life of an unborn baby and the right of the mother to kill her child if that's what she chooses.

How is this related to the issue at hand? The homosexual community engages in the same kind of verbal engineering with the term "pride" to advance acceptance of homosexuality. It takes the focus off what homosexuals do (sodomy, fisting, fellatio, S&M, etc.) and focuses on self-affirmation and celebration of "sexual diversity" including all its permutations - LGBTQXYZ. The fact is "gay pride" (like "choice") is a political term emphasizing acceptance and celebration of homosexual activity. You certainly don't see Courage and Encourage featured at "gay pride" events because those groups promote chastity. "Gay pride" is the opposite. (Although what, pray tell, is there to be proud of in having a disordered inclination toward sinful behavior?)

When the Franciscans at St. Francis of Assisi embrace the word "pride" they join the same verbal game as the pro-aborts with the word "choice." That their order also promotes the misreading of Pope Francis' out-of-context "Who am I to judge?" statement indicates (to me at least) a disingenuous promotion of the gay lifestyle. And certainly selling all kinds of merchandise featuring the rainbow flag and the "Who Am I to Judge" statement, as St. Anthony Shrine in Boston does, promotes the gay lobby, something Pope Francis specifically condemned.

Consider a religious order offering a "pre-choice Mass" before a feminist march featuring Planned
http://www.cafepress.com/shrinepride
Parenthood and NARAL. Would that be acceptable? Not to me! Unless it were booked as a Mass of reparation for the sin of abortion.  which was certainly not the case with the "pre-pride Mass." The fact that the Franciscans used an ad featuring a variation of the rainbow flag, a symbol of homosexual activism, is also problematic.

Words and symbols have meaning that are not only explicit, but reach one at a subliminal level. More and more young people are embracing the gay agenda philosophically. I believe we can thank the Franciscans for contributing to the confusion, deliberately perhaps? Verbal engineering does, indeed, lead to social engineering and we are rapidly moving toward sexual social chaos.

Check Out Terry Nelson's Post Today on "Gay Sin"

Terry is always thought-provoking and this post will undoubtedly make you think about sin in general in another way. Sin is never isolated. If you give in to one sin, it will lead to others. Thanks for the insights, Terry!

Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

What a good day to place your head on the chest of Jesus like John the Beloved did at the Last Supper.

Just rest there and listen to the beating of Christ's Heart. How much He loves you.

Think of how He suffered to atone for your sins. At every heartbeat, the thorns pierced Him -- and all for love of you.

Remember the words of Francisco, "Love is not loved." Don't let that be the case with you today. Embrace the feet of Jesus like Mary Magdalene and beg for His outpouring of grace on your life.

"O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine."

Thought for the Day from John Quincy Adams

John Quincy Adams, our sixth president and son of the second, was an amazing individual. As a young teenager (14) he participated as secretary to a delegation to Russia to seek recognition of the newly-formed United States. He was fluent in several languages and was a Greek scholar. His grasp of foreign affairs was extensive (unlike our current clueless administration). He left behind a 50-volume diary that provides one of the most comprehensive pictures of the period, one that historians often cite. He passionately defended American interests and was certainly no empire builder. He noted positively that the U.S. "has abstained from interference in the concerns of others, even when conflict has been for principles to which she clings." Certainly, he did not see our country as policeman to the world. Instead, he noted:
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be. But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.....She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom.
Ah...for the wisdom of a John Quincy Adams today. We would not be bogged down int he Middle East swamp and we would have far fewer of our men and women serving all over the globe in harms way. I wonder how different our country would be if her people would study the past, particularly the wisdom of so many of our founders. Reading a biography of John Quincy Adams would be a good place to start.

Thumbs Up for Christendom College; Thumbs Down for Archishop Thomas Wenski

Christendom College alumnus N.J. Guld, class of 1987, was just ordained for the Diocese of Trenton. He's the 70th Christendom graduate ordained to the priesthood. Two more were ordained earlier this month to bring the grand total to 72. Thank you, Christendom, for fostering vocations. As of June 2nd, Christendom could count 149 religious vocations from its 37 year history of solid Catholic educational formation: 70 priests, 49 sisters, five deacons, three brothers, and 22 seminarians. What a record and proof of the value of fidelity.

Then there is Archbishop Wenski who described those of us who support border enforcement of showing the "bitterly zealous legalism of Inspector Javert" in Victor Hugo's novel Les Miserables.Wow! Talk about rash judgment and calumny. Here's more from the Archbishop:
Today, modern day Javerts, on radio and TV talk shows, fan flames of resentment against supposed lawbreakers, equating them with terrorists intent on hurting us.
"Supposed lawbreakers?" Let's see. If someone breaks into AB Wenski's house (I'm sure he locks the doors.) are they only a supposed lawbreaker? After all, they may need the archbishop's possessions more than he does. So why is it okay for him to keep them out with his Javert-like legalism, but our country can't enforce its laws against illegal entry without being portrayed as evil and legalistic? Ask the people on the border who are most impacted by the invasion what they think -- or ask the families of those killed by the drug cartels. Oh...and those whose schools are inundated and whose local hospitals closed due to bankruptcy. The archbishop talks out of both sides of his mouth saying illegal immigration should not be tolerated and then, effectively, promotes amnesty for illegals already here. Of course, AB Wenski will never have to worry about the economic or moral impacts of illegal immigration. He lives among the top one percent on the largesse of Catholics in the pew.

What I find particularly interesting about bishops attacking those who want border security is they always reserve their vitriol for American citizens who want to halt the invasion. When do we ever see a word of criticism directed to Mexico's corrupt government and failure to protect their own people? Why should Mexicans have to flee their own country and families for a better life? Let's hear a little exhortation for the rights of people to live in freedom and security in their own homeland!

Roanoke Times Sends Reminder to Tyrant McAuliffe

We were in Roanoke yesterday and this morning I read this sensible editorial from the Roanoke Times:

Our view: McAuliffe and Medicaid: Beware the precedent

Monarchs who think they rule by divine right don't worry about about constitutions, but even King John of England had to sign the Magna Carta when his feudal barons got sick of his tyranny and demanded he recognize their rights. Peasants with pitchforks can accomplish the same as barons with swords. So sharpen up your pitchforks, Virginia, and hold the tyrant in the governor's mansion (our own Lord Dunmore clone) accountable!

Thad Cochran Hangs on by a Thread in Mississippi

Chris McDaniel may have lost in Mississippi, but in another sense he won. It took Democrats, big money, and faux Republicans like John McCain pitching for him to just barely squeak by. McDaniel is citing "voting irregularities" in Cochran's 6600-vote marginal win. We'll see whether he calls for a recount. Cochran is citing this as a "great victory." Wow! Talk about politician-speak. Jay Leno could have a field day with this!

What the race did do was expose the Republican establishment even further. Cochran's disgraceful plea for Democrats to get out and vote in the REPUBLICAN primary show just how "conservative" these establishment lackeys are -- and how wedded to big-government federalism. Cochran is nicknamed the 'king of pork" because he brings home the federal dollars picked from the pockets of hard-working middle-class Americans whose children and grandchildren will foot the bill.

The media is calling this a defeat for the Tea Party, but it is really a defeat for the Republican party. Can they keep their base when they recruit Democrats to vote for them? How many conservatives will continue to work (and vote) to keep these guys in office? If I were a Republican in Mississippi, I just might sit out the November election. Oh...but wait, you have nowhere else to go and, omigosh!, we have a chance to take back the Senate. Really? And what will those Democrat-lite senators like Thad Cochran do? The same thing the Democrats do only on a slightly smaller scale. They will rubber stamp everything Obama wants. And then they'll put up Jeb Bush as the "moderate" who they say can beat Hillary in November. Some people just can't learn from the past. They are too wedded to their old, worn-out ideas.

Well, I never put my trust in men so I'm not upset. "All things work together for good to those who love the Lord and serve according to his purpose." I'm going to Mass and praying in thanksgiving for Chris McDaniel putting up a good fight. He and his family are no doubt blessed not to be going to the Washington, D.C. cesspool.

Oh...and consider November when Cochran faces blue-dog Democrat Trad Childers, who is against abortion and voted against Obamacare. Now, let me think....who would I vote for? Cochran has given us the blueprint by getting Democrats to vote Republican. Turnabout is fair play, I'd say.

Another Scandal from Cardinal Sean O'Malley

When I see things like the press releases below, I think of all the bishops in England who went along as Henry VIII gutted the Church. Only one, John Fisher, stood up and accepted martyrdom. Which side of the bench do you think Cardinal O'Malley would be on? I know, I know, it's a gimme.... He always calls to mind Bishop Bruskewitz's comment during the notorious Dallas bishops' meeting when he described his confreres as that "hapless bench of bishops." Among the definitions for "hapless" is "wretched" and I think that just about calls it. Pray for Cardinal O'Malley. This is one more Henry VIII moment for his episcopacy.

Here are two of the press releases about the event. Isn't it interesting that the folks who are always playing the "That offends me!" card, have no problem attacking and mocking the Church.  And why is the bishop not calling out the outrageousness of the "sisters of perpetual indulgence" whose motto is go and sin some more? Where are you, Cardinal O'Malley?

If You're a Liberal, It's Time for a Twelve Step Program

How Liberals Miss the Mark by Robert Knight

I read this article first thing and gave my day a lift. There's hope for liberals to become recovering liberals just like Robert Knight did. And you women out there need to read these paragraphs from the article:
In my formative years I also noticed that many leftist men, who supposedly bought into feminism, treated women badly. Their idea of being a gentleman was making sure someone — preferably not them — paid for the girl’s abortion while they scored a bag of weed.
One guy, a pacifist, told me in front of his girlfriend that there was nothing worth fighting for — period. “I simply will not add to world conflict,” he said, puffing up his scrawny chest. I asked, “what if someone attacked your girlfriend?” She suddenly got very interested.
“I wouldn’t fight,” he answered smugly. Glancing at his wide-eyed companion, I upped the ante, asking if, with one non-lethal punch, he could save her, would he? “Nope,” he said, folding his arms. I don’t think he got lucky that night, if you know what I mean, which is just as well. I’m pretty sure they weren’t married.
Real men are getting pretty scarce and I suspect they are especially scarce among liberals. Look at their backgrounds. Measure the worth of Admiral Jeremiah Denton who spent years in the "Hanoi Hilton" being tortured vs. Bill Clinton who loathed the military and did everything he could to avoid the draft. As a wife and mother I know whom I'd rather have at my side in a dangerous situation. It sure isn't the groper/rapist who IS the dangerous situation.

Evangelii Gaudium: Chapter V

I'm finally on the home stretch of the pope's encyclical on evangelization and I love the title of Chapter V: Spirit-Filled Evangelizers! They are the ones "fearlessly open to the working of the Holy Spirit." Does that describe you? Does zeal for God's house consume you? The pope exhorts us to this zeal imitating the christian saints of every age who risked all to proclaim the Lord of Life! How can we have this spirit? --through a personal encounter with Christ:
The primary reason for evangelizing is the love of Jesus which we have received, the experience of salvation which urges us to ever greater love of him. What kind of love would not feel the need to speak of the beloved, to point him out, to make him known? If we do not feel an intense desire to share this love, we need to pray insistently that he will once more touch our hearts. We need to implore his grace daily, asking him to open our cold hearts and shake up our lukewarm and superficial existence.
And how do we "shake up" our lives and become zealous for the Lord?

Explain This Please...How Can an Active Homosexual Couple Have a Baby Baptized in the Church?

In the Spirit: Catholic diocese changes process for baptism of children of same-sex couples

In order to have their children baptized in the Church, parents have to promise to raise the child in the faith. They also have to renounce Satan and are specifically asked in the name of the child. "Do you reject Satan? And all his works?" (Baptism liturgy here.)Then they are asked to make a profession of faith. So, excuse me, how does a couple living in a perpetual state of mortal sin at variance with God's teachings make and keep those promises?

It is not a question of punishing the child. When a child is baptized,

Frederick Douglas Republicans: Reignite the Passion for Liberty!

Wow! This little video makes me want to learn more about Frederick Douglass. (Read a short bio here.) The four Frederick Douglas principles are values I share!
1. Respect for the U.S. Constitution
2  Respect for Life
3. Belief in limited government
4. Belief in personal responsibility
Visit the website to learn more about this group that strives to foster more interracial, civil dialogue on conservative principles. Let's frame the debate in a new way inspiring people to unite Americans rather than divide them.  The Democratic party is the party of division. Their tactics based on Alinsky organizing are about pitting people against each other. They foster hatred and crisis to manipulate and control people. Let's frustrate them by working toward a unity based on moral principles!

Tyrant McAuliffe Imitating His Mentor in Washington

Terry McAuliffe thinks he can do whatever he pleases no matter how it violates the Virginia Constitution. He recently signed the budget while stating that he is vetoing certain items with which he disagrees, namely the statement the legislature added to the budget limiting the governor's right to expand Medicaid spending. The provision says "no [Medicaid] general or nongeneral funds shall be appropriated or expended" under Obamacare without a vote by the General Assembly. McAuliffe can't veto a condition unless he also vetoes an appropriation. But there was no appropriation, hence he can't line item veto the condition. A number of legislators have commented on the governor's overreach. He's acting like a monarch exercising the "divine right of kings" treating the General Assembly like no more than an advisory body he can ignore at will.

The Democrats in the General Assembly held the budget hostage for two months and now the governor is basically saying, no matter what the legislature says, he'll do exactly what he wants. Let him know he doesn't have the authority. Note the action items in Bob Marshall's statement below. We need to hold the tyrants in Richmond accountable!

Read Delegate Bob Marshall's statement here.

Read Delegate Rob Bell's statement here.

Senator Mark Obenshain has this to say about the governor's unconstitutional arrogance.

Let's face it: This Administration is Run by a Bunch of Crooks!

A Good Mama Never Abandons Her Babies!

But sometimes she needs a little help. Thanks to all the life savers out there on the sidewalk in front of abortion mills offering help to moms! Just think of the efforts people go to rescuing animals. Do you think people would treat little babies waiting to be born differently if we thought of them as baby ducklings or baby seals or puppies?

Are You Suffering Today?

Listen to the words of St. John Paul II:

Suffering "burns and consumes evil with the flame of love and draws forth even from sin a great flowering of good."

Think of the suffering of the cross and suffering of all the disciples as they mourned the loss of Jesus and then think of the great flowering of faith when the fire of the Holy Spirit came down upon them on Pentecost. If you are suffering today from physical, emotional, or spiritual pain, please don't waste it! Your suffering "consumes evil" when you make it a sacrifice on the altar of love -- especially through the intercession of the Blessed Mother.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

Catholic Hospital Gives Privileges to Abortionist!

Another Catholic scandal.

See photos here.

Created Equal Exposes "Privileges" Granted to Abortionist by Catholic Hospital
Columbus, OH – June 19, 2014 – Ephesians 5:11 reads, "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." For weeks Created Equal has been dropping postcards (see sample) in the neighborhood of the abortion clinic located at 5888 Cleveland Ave to educate the community that abortionist Milroy Samuel operates nearby. Last fall we created a firestorm in Pickerington, OH by exposing Samuel to that community using the same method. Yesterday, we took our "Killers Among Us" project to the next level.

Created Equal along with other pro-life advocates from greater Columbus held signs at the entrance of Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital to draw attention to the clear violation of St. Ann's Hospital's own position to abide by generally recognized standards of medical and professional ethics. This includes, but is not limited to, the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare" (Staff  Bylaws 3.95, pg 17).
  • Watch or listen to Mark discuss this on his radio show.
Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital (a Catholic hospital) gives admitting privileges and referrals to the notorious father and son killing team of Mervyn and Milroy Samuel.
Milroy Samuel is a well-known abortion provider in central Ohio.  He, together with his father, run Complete Healthcare for Women, located at 5888 Cleveland Avenue; Columbus, Ohio.
For St. Ann's hospital to bear the Catholic name while violating central tenets thereof is duplicity which must be challenged.
Call St. Ann's at 614-898-4000 to demand a severance of their relationship with the Samuels.
Stand with us on the street. There is much work to do. To get involved, contact us at 614-269-7808 or Mark@CreatedEqual.net.

Middle School Lesson: How to Kill a Baby!

Unbelievable! These 7th graders at Churchville Chili Middle School were encouraged to shake a mechanical doll until the baby stopped crying, i.e., was dead. And what exactly was Mrs. Amory teaching these students -- especially the ones who enjoyed "beating the snot" out of the baby?

These are the same types of schools that suspend a kid for biting a pop tart into the shape of a gun or kissing a classmate on the hand. But actually perform an act that would kill a real baby is a-okay! "Oh, but it was only a doll."

Thank God for the sensible young man who refused to participate in this killer game!

Ah....but parents need not worry; the class aligns with the Common Core curriculum. Maybe the follow up will be how to perform an abortion.

Middle schoolers shake ‘babies’ until they die in lesson

Is the Name of the Redskins Really the Feds' Business?

Limbaugh Blasts Move Against Redskins Trademark as 'Tyranny'

It’s an Obama World… US Patent Office Cancels Redskins Team’s Trademark

Hey, I'm offended by naming a restaurant Hooters and by the trademark playboy bunny and by Madonna's getting up on a cross. When I go to the beach I'm always offended by the ads for Dirty Dick's Crab House.

Every year I'm offended by the lewd ads on the Super Bowl.

I'm also offended by Miley Cyrus and her twerking.

One of PP's milder offensive ads
And have you seen Planned Parenthood's offensive promotion of porn to kids barely out of the playpen?

With the Middle East in meltdown, our national debt skyrocketing, unemployment a serious problem, criminal illegal aliens being dumped in states throughout the country...is the name of the Redskins really a top priority of the federal government? Well, I guess in Obama's world of political correctness it is. Liberal politicians always favor form over substance.

But it sure seems silly to me... although the feds destroying free speech isn't silly at all. It's tyranny!

Thought for the Day on Health Care

When Obamacare is fully implemented, we'll all get the same care as our vets get at the VA -- long waits and death. Of course, there will always be exceptions for those special ones among us -- our elitist rulers -- who are not held to the same standards as the great mass of unwashed hoi polloi.

VA Audit Finds 100,000 Veterans Facing Long Wait for Health Care

The scandal at the VA shows exactly how effective socialized medicine and a single-payer system is. It also shows how inept the feds are at providing anything (Think DMV!). But, hey, if you have that I (heart) Obamacare on your bumper, don't be surprised if people start treating you like someone with dementia. It's certainly a good sign that you need help.

Big Money and Bad Catholics Behind the Attack on Archbishop Cordileone

What’s Behind Pelosi’s Attack on Archbishop Cordileone?

Most homeowners don't need to worry about the termites a mile away, but when your own house is infested, well, that's a different story. Our Church is under invasion with dissenters and heretics backed by big money from anti-Catholics undermining the foundation. The sad thing is that the shepherds, those responsible to defend the sheep from the wolves, are often the biggest enablers of the destruction. Instead of exercising pest control, they offer pest incentives. How many Catholic dissenters have stints with the USCCB or diocesan chanceries in their curriculum vitae? Pray for the bishops.

What is God Telling You Today?

"When God meets us, he tells us two things. The first thing he says is: have hope. God always opens doors, he never closes them. He is the father who opens doors for us. The second thing he says is: don't be afraid of tenderness....I am the Father who caresses you....The Bible clearly shows that God's main virtue is that He is love. He waits for us; he nver tires of waiting for us. He gives us the gift and then waits for us. This happens in the life of each and every one of us. There are those who ignore Him. But God is patient."

Pope Francis from a Christmas interview with La Stampa's Andrea Tornielli

Nancy Pelosi Needs a Brain Transplant!

Nancy scolds her bishop for showing "disdain and hate" for homosexuals by supporting traditional marriage.

Archbishop Cordileone responds.

Archbishop Cordileone has made it clear, Nancy must not receive Communion for her own sake.

Nancy Pelosi would be funny if she weren't so pathetic. Who hates homosexuals?

Those who would tickle their ears and lead them down the path to hell?

Or those who tell them the truth -- that living the "gay" lifestyle is a body and soul killer?

Nancy has nothing but disdain for homosexuals believing they are too lust driven to exercise self control or make morally responsible decisions. And she hates them enough to eagerly enable behavior that can sentence them to an eternity of hell. Is that love or respect? No way!

And, those who scandalize and lead others into sin by their actions jeopardize their own souls. Nancy is in great danger! Pray for her. I have to say that she spouts so many unbelievably stupid things that one wonders if she bears diminished responsibility because of dementia. Let's pray Jesus' prayer for her. "Father, forgive her, she doesn't know what she is doing." Please bring her back to the heart of the Church. Cardinal Sheen, you need another miracle. Please pray for her conversion.

Fulton Sheen's Cause for Beatification Moves Forward

And isn't it appropriate that this champion of life's miracle involved a stillborn infant (born September 2010) who showed no signs of life coming back after 61 minutes during which time the parents were pleading for the baby through the intercession of Cardinal Sheen.

Three and a half years later the little one shows no ill effects from the ordeal. Read the press release here and pray that his cause advances quickly.

Cardinal Sheen spoke often about the world approaching midnight  -- a terrible disaster. I heard him speak of the clock nearing 12:00 near the end of his life, but it was a constant theme. In fact, in 1943, he gave a talk called The Approach of Midnight. It was a prophetic talk. Listen to it, especially his description of the decline of education and see our own culture with its Common Core, its gay-straight alliance clubs, its Planned Parenthood style promiscuous sex education. He saw it all coming and continues to warn us. Cardinal Sheen, please intercede for our poor country, especially the young who are so scandalized by false education that force-feeds pleasant lies. Here's just a portion of Cardinal Sheen's address:

Be Your Daughters' First Love

I read recently that a psychologist who worked with teenage prostitutes never found one who had a good relationship (or any relationship in some cases) with her dad. Dads are irreplaceable despite the world's message that they are useless buffoons. (Remember all those mindless sitcoms like The Simpsons?) Thank your dad today. It doesn't have to be Father's Day to appreciate the love of a dad.

Justina's Going Home! Rejoice and Be Glad!

Judge Joseph Johnston's signed the order to return Justina to her parents. After 16 months, Justina is finally going home! Here's what the judge wrote:
“I find that the parties have shown by credible evidence that circumstances have changed since the adjudication on Dec. 20, 2013, that Justina is a child in need of care and protection pursuant to G.L. c. 199, 24-26. Effective Wednesday, June 18, 2014, this care and protection petition is dismissed and custody of Justina is returned to her parents, Lou and Linda Pelletier."
Well, what changed was the incredible pressure placed on Massachusetts DCF and the court by the exposure of the tyranny exercised in this unbelievable case. I hope the next step is a lawsuit against DCF for what they did to this family to make them think twice before they EVER do it to another family. There are more than enough children really being abused and neglected for DCF to persecute a good family doing the best for their children.

Phoenix Priest Forgives Attacker

You can bet that Fr. Walker is praying for the conversion of Gary Moran.  Let's join our prayers to his and bring this man to God.

Latest on Justina: Keep Praying

Justina Spends Father's Day with her Family

Keep praying that this family will be reunited soon. St. Joseph, guardian of the family, please intercede for Justina and her family.

Pray for Judge Joseph Johnston who facilitated this outrage. I hope the family's lawsuit for unlawful imprisonment is successful. Pray for that too.

Consider that this child had several years of her life stolen. She was denied schooling (Isn't DCF guilty for that alone?) She was denied medical treatment and went from walking and ice skating to be wheelchair bound. She was denied the right to attend religious services or have the comfort of her pastor visit. She was denied visits from her family except for one hour a week and even that was often cancelled and totally supervised. The parents were unlawfully gagged and it was only when they defied the court that the public learned of this outrage.

What happened in this case is so illegal and such a violation of this child's constitutional rights that it is mind boggling! Pray for its end. It's long overdue. And pray for justice for this family. The only way to prevent such things in the future is to hold the guilty parties accountable.

Want Smart Kids? Teach Them Cursive Writing!

Some salient points from the article. I've highlighted some major points in red:
Children not only learn to read more quickly when they first learn to write by hand, but they also remain better able to generate ideas and retain information. In other words, it’s not just what we write that matters — but how....

A 2012 study led by Karin James, a psychologist at Indiana University, lent support to that view. Children who had not yet learned to read and write were presented with a letter or a shape on an index card and asked to reproduce it in one of three ways: trace the image on a page with a dotted outline, draw it on a blank white sheet, or type it on a computer. They were then placed in a brain scanner and shown the image again.

Ants: On My Kitchen Counter and in the Church

We're battling an ant invasion in our kitchen. We don't just have those teeny-tiny ants. Ours are big, black creepy ants. They love my dishwasher and I usually see a battalion when I open the door. And these aren't just dumb ants; they're too smart to go into the ant traps we bought. So I've been killing the scouts crawling up the cabinet fronts, but I know the army is still back there plotting the continued invasion.

Reminds me of the creepy ants in the Church -- the dissenters, the men in roman collars who in one breath bring Jesus Christ down upon our altars and in the next drive a spear into his side with their heresy. We are a church overrun! But the Holy Spirit never leaves us and the Blessed Mother calls us perpetually to fight using the sacraments and the rosary as spiritual weapons to defeat the enemy. And so we fight on as members of the Church Militant against the Judases inside the Body of Christ.

I think I've finally solved the ant problem. I looked up on the internet for a homemade recipe for eliminating ants. It's a combination of one cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons borax. Soak cotton balls and put them where you see the ants. Voila -- this morning I haven't seen a single (live) ant.

Now if only it were so easy to purge the Church of the army of heretic ants attacking the faithful.

So...the big question is...Who really is that man under the red hat?

Cardinal Dolan? Can you explain why you coddle the homosexual parishes in Manhattan?

What exactly is going on?

Why are St. Francis Xavier and St. Francis of Assisi allowed to promote the homosexual agenda and advance "gay pride?"

Aren't the bishops fighting the redefinition of marriage? Do you mean it?

Can the faithful get answers?

Anyone? Anyone?

Will Cardinal Dolan Do Anything about St. Francis and their Celebration of NYC "Pride"?

I've been posting about Manhattan's homosexual parish, St. Francis Xavier run by the Jesuits. (See here, here, here, and here.) It's a scandal, but Cardinal Dolan seems to have no problem with it. No discipline for the priests there promoting homosexual acting out. In fact, he cheered them on at the parish rededication.

Nope! Cardinal Dolan saves discipline for orthodox priests like Fr. Justin Wylie of Holy Innocents parish who dared to say in a Sunday homily that the diocese appears to be the abandoning the flock who desire the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). Holy Innocents is the only parish in the diocese that offers a daily TLM. So what happened to Fr. Wylie in a New York minute? He got the boot at the express order of the Cardinal's office. I mean, it's fine to talk about mixing with the smelly sheep, but, some sheep are smellier than others and those traditionalists just reek of incense!

To make a sad story even more ludicrous, Holy Innocents is planned to merge with St. Francis of Assisi run by the Order of Friars Minor. Seems the Franciscans are as proud of homosexuals acting out as the Jesuits at St. Francis Xavier. (The two Francises must be rolling over in their graves.) At any rate, St. Francis of Assisi is celebrating their "pre-Pride Mass" before the "hot" events on the evening of June 28th and the big parade the next day. Keep in mind that "gay pride" is a loaded term that refers to celebrating the homosexual lifestyle. If you have any doubts about what NYC pride stand for, visit the NYC Pride website. But don't check it out when the kiddies are around. One of the things they're proud of is redefining marriage. (Click on 2008 - 2013 to see the strides they've made in bringing same-sex marriage to reality!) Are you proud of that, Cardinal Dolan? And exactly how can the pro-sodomy parishioners "merge" with the traditional Catholics who keep the faith? Talk about strange bedfellows?

Famous Last Words about Iraq! I Wonder how "Impressed" Uncle Joe is Today...

...as Iraq sinks into chaos.

But we can all take comfort from the fact that the U.S., under the policies of neo-cons with bogus "weapons of mass destruction" claims, deposed Saddam Hussein to liberate Iraq. Lucky Iraqis, eh?

Isn't it high time the U.S. recognized that the Middle East is a cauldron and has been for centuries? Here's what Pat Buchanan wrote about our intervention in Iraq last year on the 10th anniversary. Was Iraq worth it?

Of course not, but once we got in we had an obligation to those people.

And now what have they got? Civil war between battling factions, mass murders, and complete chaos. Frankly, it reminds me of Vietnam. We went in and the politicians tied the hands of the military and didn't fight to win. Then we abandoned the south and let the Communists take over.

We're pretty good at abandoning our friends. (Check out this New York Times article from 18 months ago. It's truer today than it was then.) Heck! Obama and Clinton abandoned our own American family in Benghazi; why would they hesitate to abandon anyone else? And, as Hillary says, "What difference at this point does it make anyway?" Let the Iraqis pay the price for our insane foreign policy. (Do we have a foreign policy?)

Pray for the Iraqis and the entire Middle East. Imagine what it would be like for your family if you lived in Baghdad. Pray the rosary for peace. Our Lady of Fatima is the answer.

A Laugh for Monday from a Dad Whose Sick of Frozen!

I agree. Why this song is so popular is beyond me. The parody is better than the original.

Unbelievable! When is Consensual Sex a Rape?

Let's see: A woman texts her friends that she's going to have sex, asks the guy if he has a condom, gets directions to his dorm, and a week later claims she was raped. Huh?

And the school expels the guy even after law enforcement finds no evidence to back up the accusation.

But hey, the coed got advice from one of the professors as reported by World Net Daily:
The accuser cited advice from Professor Danielle Dirks, who was reported to have said Doe “fit the profile of other rapists on campus in that he had a high GPA in high school, was his class valedictorian, was on [a sports] team, and was ‘from a good family.’”
Gotta watch out for those smart, high-achieving guys from good families. (Sounds like my sons actually. Somehow, I never thought of them as rapists.)

So what is the outcome for the girl in this scenario who certainly looks like, at the very least, an equal-opportunity aggressor? Apparently nothing. But this fits the "all guys are rapists and all sex is rape" meme so popular with the radical feminists. Maybe the lesson here for every young man is, "keep your pants zipped." If you acted like a godly man, you would tell the young seductress you were flattered she found you attractive, but you're saving yourself for the woman you'll marry. Now wouldn't that be counter-cultural not to mention morally upright, gentlemanly, and showing integrity!

But I have to say, this sure looks like the gotcha game! How come the woman isn't being charged with sexual harassment and false charges? I thought women these days were "empowered" by having the right to be as horny and promiscuous as men at sowing their wild oats. So how come they whine and cry and become victims when they decide maybe they made a bad decision? Looking for someone to blame?

Have you heard the one about the dumb blonde named Hillary....

See Mad Magazine www.madmagazine.com
...who claims she left the White House "dead broke?"

She must think we're all dumb blondes!

The Millionaire Pauper? Hillary Clinton’s Claim On Being “Dead Broke” Falls Flat With The Facts

Maybe being broke explains why the Clinton's stole so many items from the White House when they left. Hey, they needed to run them by the local pawn shop.

Liars and thieves: that about sums up Bill and Hillary...oh...except for Bill's history as rapist and groper. He's in a class by himself when it comes to sexual harassment and womanizing.

But, hey, Bill's special. Normal rules of conduct only apply to conservatives. Liberals make up their own rules.

And then there's the "dead broke," dumb blonde's daughter who gets paid big bucks to do almost nothing.

So What Are You Doing for Dad on Father's Day?

Here are a few ideas:

1) The best -- Offer your Father's Day Mass for Dad. I'll be praying for the repose of the souls of my own dad and my father-in-law, for my dear husband, the father of our five children, for my granfathers and all my great granfathers who passed on the faith, for our two sons, fathers of 10 of our grandchildren, and our three sons-in-law, fathers of 12 of our grandchildren. That's a bunch of godly men fathering our family! Thank you, Lord.

2) Give Dad a symbol of his fatherhood. How about a picture of dad playing with the kids or grandkids. It's the time spent with little ones that is the best gift dads give to their families (after loving God and their wives, of course).

3) Make Dad's favorite dinner. My mom always said, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach." We all love to eat and don't forget dessert. "Nothin' says lovin' like something from the oven, and homemade says it best!"  I'm making Larry's favorite -- pineapple upside down cake from scratch. Best recipe in the world is from the McCalls Cookbook I bought right after we were married. The back binding is long gone. It's stained and filled with notes and it is the source book for some of our favorite recipes -- especially the foreign foods and the how to use leftovers sections. I learned to make Thanksgiving dinner from that book and still think the stuffing recipe can't be surpassed. Yum!

4) Take Dad on an outing: to play golf or fish or out for a beer or for a swim -- whatever he likes to do. He'll appreciate the fact you want to spend time with him.

5) Give Dad a work day. Wow! I know at our house that would be REALLY appreciated. There is always more to do than time to do it. I was working in the pool area today vacuuming and clipping the overgrowth. It's just a small way to say, "Thanks, honey, for being such a good husband and father."

6) End the day with a family rosary for Dad's intentions. And don't forget the hugs and kisses!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

A Message for Graduates: Don't Forget Where You Come From!

Rachel with her brothers in times gone by!
Another grandchild milestone yesterday -- our sweet granddaughter, Rachel, graduated from 8th grade at All Saints School in Manassas and heads to Pope John Paul the Great in August. During his homily, the pastor, Fr. Bob Cilinski, talked about memories -- how memories need to take us into the future. It reminded me of what I always told our college-bound children. "Don't forget where you come from."

The world is filled with temptations to forget.

Forget everything your stodgy old parents told you about virtue and goodness. Live for today. Enjoy life. Eat, drink, twerk, fornicate, and be merry. "Just do it!"

Forget what all your teachers said about knowledge and education being for the purpose of committing yourself to the common good and making the world a better place. No, it's all about you and all about now. Eat, drink, twerk, etc.

Forget what the Church says about loving God first, keeping the Commandments, serving you neighbor, etc. Think about yourself first. You only go around once. Eat, drink twerk, etc.

Yup, the prince of this world wants to fill your head with thoughts of selfish pleasures and a world whose boundaries are your skin -- where you are the tinpot dictator of all you survey. He doesn't want you remember God, or family, or your eternal destiny. And all that "happiness" he promises? It's nothing but a beautifully packaged lie. When you open his "gift" it's filled with a rotting, maggot-covered corpse.

So, graduates, remember where you come from and where you are going. You are the apple of God's eye and He loves you. Don't ever forget that and live like a child of the King with dignity, walking in grace and beauty accompanied by all the angels and saints of God. You belong in the court of the King, not wallowing in Satan's garbage dump!

And We Wonder Why Our Culture is More Violent?

What do you think about a game that has players competing to see who can wipe out all people on the earth? Here's a description of this sick "game."
Twisted? Yes. Addicting? Also yes.
The mobile game Plague Inc. takes the whole civilization-building thing in the other direction: the goal is to wipe out all humans on Earth before a cure can be researched.

Let's Dump Another Establishment Republican

Chris McDaniel has a real chance to beat Thad Cochran in Mississippi. He's pro-life, defends traditional marriage, and is a fiscal conservative.

You can check out his position on issues here.

Help change the face of the U.S. Senate and get rid of Harry Reid as majority leader.

I just sent his campaign a donation. You can join me by going here!

Let's send another true conservative to the Senate and get rid of Harry Reid as Majority Leader.

Isn't it time to put the "conserve" back into the Republican Party? We need to conserve the principles on which this country was founded: faith in God, patriotism, respect for the rights of others, liberty, hard work, love of family, etc. Supporting good candidates wherever they are is one of the most important things we can do to try to get this country back on track. Above all, pray for the Holy Spirit to anoint all godly candidates and inspire many to assist them in their efforts to take back our government!

One Phoenix Priest Dead, One Seriously Injured

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST- FSSP Priests attacked in Phoenix, Arizona, 1 murdered, 1 critically wounded- Fr. Walker, rest in peace [UPDATED]

We are living in a time of chaos. Consider how much of this is due to the collapse of the Judeo-Christian ethic which elevated all men to the "little less than the angels." From Catholic Culture's article, Godless Morality: Why Judeo-Christian Morality is Necessary for Human Rights:
The social and political consequences of this lofty vision of human beings' place in the cosmic scheme of things were dramatic.

Hey Maryland, Choose a Principled Conservative for Governor

Ron George is a fiscal conservative running for Governor. Here's a creative ad he's running that goes after the "rain tax." Yes, Virginia, Maryland really does have a rain tax although not every jurisdiction charges it. Those that do levy it on everybody with an "impervious" structure, i.e., roof, driveway, etc. that prevents rain from directly reaching the ground. Talk about creative income confiscation. Read about the Maryland rain tax and thank God if you don't live in the land of the lavishly spending liberal loonies.

NOT FOR KIDS: Sickos at PP Teach Kids Sado-Masochistic Sex!

Hey, let's teach 15-year-olds that being gagged, whipped, asphyxiated, tied to a bed, tied to a tree, "welts across the back...some blood," etc. is a-okay.

It's all normal to the perverts at PP. And, not to worry, because, "It'll feel good to you." How romantic!

Now why isn't the media on top of this? After all, remember when they said minors couldn't consent to sex with abusive pederasts in the priesthood? But a 14-year-old can be pimped by an adult and taken to PP for an abortion? These people belong in jail for child endangerment and abuse.

Eric Cantor Loses to Tea Party Candidate!

Dave Brat "crushed" Eric Cantor!
Eat your heart out, Mitch McConnell! Wasn't it you who said all the Tea Party candidates would be "crushed" by you big-government establishment types.

Tea Party Claims Huge Scalp as Cantor Crashes in Primary

Here's a salient bit from the article that better register with the Republican establishment!

Pollster Doug Schoen told Newsmax that Republican voters are angry.
"They are angry at the establishment. Eric Cantor represents inside Washington — and this is a repudiation of the Republican leadership strata."
He said it's a warning sign for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who is involved in a tough general-election battle in Kentucky with Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes.
"There's just a sense that they want the establishment out. This is an angry vote. It's a rejection of everything the Republicans stand for," Schoen said.
Better wake up, you Democrat-lite Republicans! You can't beat something with nothing. The Democrats may be evil, but they are incredibly committed. Remember what the Bible says about the lukewarm? That's what happened to Eric Cantor. Good-bye and good riddance.

And the Persecution of Good Priests Continues

New York Archdiocese Retaliates against Priest

I'm not surprised by this. Too many bishops today act like tyrannical monarchs who will not brook anything that smacks of criticism. Funny how two thirds of the bishops had no problem covering up the abuse problem and moving the pederast around. The double standard  described by Dietrich von Hildebrand in The Devastate Vineyard continues:
The drivel of heretics, both priests and laymen, is tolerated; the bishops tacitly acquiesce to the poisoning of the faithful. But they want to silence the faithful believers who take up the cause of orthodoxy.
Pray for Wylie and for Cardinal Dolan who has much for which to answer.

Have you told your spouse you love him/her today?

Great lyrics. Play this for your sweetheart today. Keep the appreciation for each other in your marriage no matter what!

"Sometimes in the evening when you do not see, I study the small things you do constantly. I memorize moments that I'm fondest of." How about sharing some of those fond memories at dinner.

"In only a moment we both will be old. We won't even notice the world turning cold and so in these moments with sunlight above, my cup runneth over with love." We're there, but we can depend on a sure thing to dispel the cold and fill our lives with warmth. Family! -- especially our grandchildren! Thank you to our generous five children for giving us 22 dear ones (so far). Each one is a precious and unique flower in Gramma's garden!

How Much Do You Know About Planned Parenthood?

Have you ever visited the Planned Parenthood page on this blog? If you think PP is a benign organization that cares about women's health and really wants to improve women's lives, you need to read the articles. PP was founded by a selfish, anti-religion, elitist white woman who wanted to limit the "human weeds" in society. That included minorities, the poor, Catholics, "the feebleminded," and anyone who happened to disagree with her diabolical outlook on life. Click on the PP page and just check out the headlines. And then think of how your tax dollars help pay for Cecile Richards $500,000 annual salary. She claims no federal money goes to pay her salary, but that's ridiculous. Without the millions pouring into PP's coffers and the special treatment from the Obama administration, PP wouldn't have the millions to feed their greedy executives.

What sacrifices do you have to make in your family so Cecile and company can live high on the hog murdering babies in the womb and corrupting the ones who manage to survive? PP's initials don't just stand for "planned parenthood," or planned non-parenthood which is more accurate. PP stands for perversion in the playpen, pornography peddling, and pederasty pandering among other things.

Visit Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP) and consider how you can poke a stick in the spokes of PP's juggernaut. They need to be stopped!

Reverence for the Eucharist

I was thinking yesterday at Mass about why we need an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion at our little church. It might lengthen the Mass five minutes if the priest communicated everyone. Is that really a grave inconvenience? Wouldn't it just give us more time to adore our Lord -- especially if the organist and cantor would forego the Communion performance?

My fellow blogger, Terry Nelson, has a post this morning that really hit home.... Check it out.

Trouble for McAuliffe!

Say a prayer of thanksgiving for this development.

Democratic senator Puckett resigns, adding to state budget turmoil

Now if we could just get rid of a few more Democrats in the State Senate...

Virginia Republicans Call for Unity

I attended the Virginia Republican State Convention yesterday as a delegate supporting Shak Hill. It was interesting. Ed Gillespie's folks were clearly nervous. They spent the morning and early afternoon lobbying Shak's delegates. When the vote, came Shak was clearly outnumbered but probably received 30-40% of the vote. (Actually, RPV published the results. Shak received almost 39% of the vote. See here -- 1040 to 1616.) Considering he was running against a better known candidate and favorite with establishment backing and plenty of money, his numbers were pretty impressive. The reason we don't know exactly how many votes he received is that, before all the results were announced, Shak motioned for the convention to elect Gillespie by acclamation. His brief statement was a gracious class act and he quoted Gillespie's statement that we should exit the doors of the convention in unity to elect a Republican Senator to replace Obama-clone Mark Warner. Ed Gillespie reached out to everyone in his acceptance speech and mentioned the Tea Party by name. He emphasized that Republicans needs everybody who supports our core principles and we're all part of the team. Unity was his big message. I hope he means it. Party conservatives have been the ugly stepchildren of the party for far too long.

It Only Lasted a Day, But What a Message!

Turned out the billboard was on Planned Parenthood's property and the company had a contract not to provide any pro-life advertising. Too bad...but what a day! Let's pray some babies were saved as a result!

Wonder Why More Police Are Using Deadly Force?

This may help explain it. Pretty scary when you consider the hundreds of rounds pumped into the van of the two ladies delivering newspapers and the mom murdered in a high speed chase after she mistakenly turned into a White House check point. Who'll be next? What happens to the public when the police adopt a strategy of shoot to kill, evaluate after.

Hmmm...Maybe It's Time to Stop Letting Demons into Your Home

I read about a saint years ago, perhaps Elizabeth Seton, who had a vision of a box inside homes that provided an entrance to the devil to attack the family. The article below shows exactly how demonic that "box" is. Do you care about your kids? Maybe it's time to consider eliminating the filth before your children are totally corrupted!

Good News: Oklahoma Repeals Common Core

Check it out here.

And here.

While only one other state (that I know of) has refused to implement common core (Indiana), other states are considering repeal. As opposition grows, mostly from concerned parents, this controversial issue isn't going away anytime soon.

What's wrong with Common Core? Plenty! Here are a few articles for the researching reader.

Here's just one expert's assessment of a few of the problems:
Dr. Sandra Stotsky, the 21st-century chair in teacher quality at the University of Arkansas’s Department of Education Reform, who served on the National Validation Committee for the Common Core State Systemic Initiative (2009-2010), on the National Mathematics Advisory Panel (2006-2008), speaks against the Standards. She argues that:

1. Common Core’s ELA [English Language Arts] standards are NOT rigorous. They were designed to allow mid-level grade 11 students to enroll in credit-bearing courses in a non-selective college.
2. Common Core’s standards are NOT internationally benchmarked and will not make any of our students competitive.
3. There is NO research to support Common Core’s stress on writing instead of reading.
4. There is NO research to support Common Core’s stress on informational reading instead of literary study in the English class.
5. There is no research to support the value of “cold” reading of historical documents, a bizarre pedagogy promoted by the chief architect of Common Core’s ELA standards.
6. Available research suggests exactly the opposite of what Common Core’s document and standards promote in the ELA classroom.[iii]  (Read more....)
And check out this article: Beyond Common Core
